He was preceded in death by his parents, Bause and Vishia Ownby; a sister, Nellie Roberts; and a brother, Rellie Ogle.

Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Ina and the Rev. R. L. Shults of Cohutta and Winnie Ensley of Cleveland; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Ruth Ogle of Cohutta, Homer Ogle of Dalton and Roy 'Dot' and Inez Ogle of LaFayette; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Rodger Whorton and the Rev. Leon Ensley officiating.

Burial will be in Frazier's Chapel Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday. Julian Peeples of Dalton is in charge of arrangements.

NOTE:Clyde Ownby was the step-son of Edward Ogle.
