Jean Wells, (In white dress) daughter of Andrew & Exie Stancil. This picture was taken in the 60's at a party at Dupont in Chattanooga, TN. She was personnel manager there for years until she retired.
Wilma 'Jean' Stancil was born 1923 and died August 1981. She married Vermond Wesley 'Sleepy' Wells (January 01, 1906--October 1990). She and 'Sleepy' are both buried in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN. There were no children born of this union.
Sleepy, worked at Hosiery Mill. They had bought land on Sale Creek Mountain & built a home for retirement there.
