Sting made his wrestling debut out of Memphis, in a group called Powerteam USA, in November 1985.   Two of the members, Flash (Sting) and Justice (The Ultimate Warrior) formed a tag team called The Blade Runners.  In their first match, they defeated their opponents in 45 seconds. Sting then joined the UWF and Rock left to another organization.

Sting joined up with Eddie Gilbert and on July 26, 1986 the won the tag team titles from The Fantastics. Sting and Gilbert lost the titles back to The Fantastics. Sting and Gilbert regained the UWF Tag Team Titles on April 12, 1987, by defeating Adams and Taylor. In May of 1987  Sting and Gilbert lost the belts to Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner.  Which which resulted in the team splitting up.

Tag Team Tournament, April 23, 1988:  Sting and Luger teamed up and win the tournament by defeating Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard.

Monday Nitro, November 18, 1996:   Sting approaches Luger with a new look.  His hair is longer and darker, his face paint is now black and white, and he is wearing black clothes.  He gives Luger a  black baseball bat and then leaves.(Birth Of The Black And White Sting)

World War III, November 24, 1996:   Sting Deathdrops Jeff Jarrett while he is fighting The Giant.

Monday Nitro, December 2, 1996:  Rick Steiner challenges Sting to a match.  Sting comes out and Deathdrops Rick.

Monday Nitro, January 20, 1997:   Randy Savage calls Sting out.  Sting hands him the bat and Savage hands it back.  They exit together.

Monday Nitro, February 10, 1997:  Sting and Savage approach Diamond Dallas Page and DDP accepts the bat.

SuperBrawl, February 23, 1997:  Sting and Savage come to the entrance of the arena. Savage goes on to help Hogan defeat Roddy Piper but Sting leaves.

Monday Nitro, February 24, 1997:   Sting appears with the nWo.

Uncensored,  March 16, 1997:  After The Main Event, Sting appears and Deathdrops Hall, Nash, Savage, and Hogan !!!!  Sting then turns to Lex Luger and embraces Lex Luger. 

Road Wild, August 9, 1997:  Sting(aka Hall) attacks Luger causing him to lose the title to Hogan. It is later shown that Scott Hall was posing as Sting.

Monday Nitro, August 18, 1997:   After offering Sting several matches, JJ Dillon tells Sting that he must tell WCW what he wants.  Sting grabs a fan's sign that reads "Hulk vs. Sting"

October 28, 1997:  Sting meets Hogan to sign a contract to fight at Starrcade 1997.

Monday Nitro, November 10, 1997:   Sting seriously attacked by the nWo.

Monday Nitro, December 8, 1997:  The nWo drops a dummy Sting down which falls through the ring.  After laughing and calling Sting a dummy Hogan tells some of his goons to pull him up out of the ring.  The nWo props then dummy up over the ropes. Hogan the makes a remark about knocking the stupid smirk off the dummies face.  He walks to the dummy and takes it's mask off.  As he does the dummy stands up, and it is the Stinger!  Sting then deathdrops all members of the nWo except Hogan and Bischoff.

StarrCade, December 29, 1997: Sting vs. Hollywood Hogan (World Champion) for the Heavyweight Title of the World! Sting enters the ring with a huge entrance. Sting battles Hogan for about 12 minutes when Hogan drops the big leg drop on Sting. Hogan then covers Sting for a fast 1-2-3 count from Nick Patrick. Bret Hart comes down, nails Patrick, then throws Hogan into the ring where the Stinger stands in the ring awaiting Hogan to stand up. Sting then delivers two Stinger Splash's then hooks the Scorpion Deathlock for the win.- Sting wins Title

WCW Monday Nitro, December 30, 1997: Hollywood Hogan comes out during the first hour crying about the title. In the next segment J.J. Dillon comes out and says Sting agrees to put the title on the line tonight. -Sting wins.

Debut Of Thunder, January 8, 1998: The clips of Monday Nitro is shown where Sting beat Hogan for the second time in as many nights. J.J. calls the nWo out including Hogan. Then J.J. calls out Sting. J.J. tells Sting that he must give the title to him, and the title is held up. Sting takes a bat out of his jacket, grabs the mic, pushes J.J. Dillon, and says, "You got no guts!" He then turns to Hogan and says, "And you, ha ha, you're a dead man!!!!"
