Leaping up onto the ledge that was slightly above Zira's quarters (incase I should have to run) I gathered all my courage and called "ZIRA!" The echo bounced across the walls and seemed to dissapear into the darkness-exactly what I wanted to do at the moment.
Suddenly I heard the pounding of paws and then I saw her-Zira.
"Kiara!" She exclaimed in a distinct, evil tone. "You are NOT welcome here."
"Make it quick," Zira replied. "There are others here and they are watching your every move. If you so much as twitch, they'll be onto you like 'stinch on a warthog'" She chuckled in a mocking voice.
"I want to know-know about S-Scar," even saying his name made me feel like a traitor.
"Ah. So Nala finally told you her little secret."
"N-not exactly. I found out myself. But I need to know...was there any good in Scar?"
"No." Zira smiled a crooked smile. "That's why I follow in his footsteps. Hatred is power. Kovu knows this. He will avenge Scar."
"Wh-what?" I demanded.
"Simba is the way. When Kovu kills Simba he will have crown."
"But what about me?" My stomache churned.
"He wouldn't kill you. He has a soft spot for you, Kiara," Zira eyed me. "One I will never understand."
"I-I don't understand."
"Oh, you pathetic little creacher. You can't believe that I would let you leave with the knowledge you now have...you truly are a dimwitted one. It's hard to believe that any of Scar's blood runs through your veins. You will not leave here alive, sweet little, helpless Kiara. My army of lionesses will tear you to shreads....right about now."
A million growing snarles rose in my ears. Using every ounce of my strength, I began to climb the steep walls of the cavern.
"GET HER!!!" Zira screamed. And as if knowing I would get away and warn The Pride, she added. "If you tell ANYONE about this you can kiss your beloved Kovu goodbye!!! AHHH HAAAA!!"
Escaping from the cold cavern, I ran as fast as I could back to The Pride Lands.
