Biollante is the first of the new breed of Godzilla foes and is perhaps
the most carefully thought out in design and execution. Her concept is also unique in the Godzilla series.
Biollante also has the most plausible genesis. In an attempt to salvage
the life essence of his daughter, Erica, geneticist Dr. Shiragami combined
her DNA with that of a rose. To guarantee her immortrality, he added the
self-reproducing ability of Godzilla's cells.
