Edgar Allen Poe's Version of the O.J. Simpson Trial
Once upon a courtroom jury, Johnnie Cochran lectured in a fury,
That the murder was not of O.J. Simpson’s act-
He says that Mark Furhman ought to pay, besides, what is DNA? Just three
little letters, anyway,
Probably stands for Did Not Attack.
“He did not stab. He did not kill. The murder wasn’t of O.J.’s will,
And I guarantee you, that’s a fact-
This man is not the one that you should blame because everyone in America
knows his name and American people could not in anyway condemn
anyone with that much fame.
And then again…I take that back.”
As it turns out, Johnny Cochran won the case; an event that changed
the human race.
And I will right now tell you why I say that-
The O.J. Simpson case was a turning point in history and why it is is not a
mystery, because for all that I can really see,
It shows us that you can get away with anything you’re working at.
