Review of the Hanson Concert, Part 3

Now we are at the concert. (took awhile didn't it?). We put down our blanket and sat on it. Because that is what a blanket is for (and sleeping too... but we won't get into that. Erin and Susan). Then we realized that we were listening to Aerosmith. Two hours later, we were still listening to Aerosmith. We figured out that Hanson has this Aerosmith obsession... and their c.d. has skips in it (maybe from making the fans listen to it for 2 hours before the concert. just an idea.)

Louise and I have figured out Hanson's theme song. You Hanson-haters will like this. It's "Dude Looks Like a Lady." If you can't figure it out, think Taylor (that is the middle one) in the "MMMBOP" video. Little girls do not know who Aerosmith is. They also stare at you when you sing Aerosmith at the top of your lungs. Weird.

Around 7:15, the opening band, Admiral Twin, came out. They are from Tulsa. For those Hanson fans out there, the drummer/lead singer is Jarrod Gollihare (the guy who wrote Hanson's official bio). The band (whose name was Admiral Twin) was really good. They probably performed for all those parents who were forced to go to the concert. Louise and I were dancing to Admiral Twin, and we were the only ones dancing. Everyone else was sitting down, standing up doing nothing, or plugging their ears (stupid little twirps next to us). We screamed EXTRA loud for the band (in the words of Jarrod, "We're still Admiral Twin") after every song. They only played 5 songs though (lasting about 30 minutes). The entire band was nice-looking (again, to please all the mums stuck at a Hanson concert on a Sunday night). Then the band got off the stage and another c.d. began to play.

Unfortunately, this time it was the Wallflowers (I'm not a big Wallflowers fan). This happy music lasted about 45 minutes. Of course, now the girls who were staring at us for singing to Aerosmith, were now singing to the Wallflowers. It was exciting. (really.)

Now, on to another page about the HANSON concert...
