Costly Ways
Welcome to my boating page my retreat during the winter months.I have been an avid boater for the past 5 years.I have been a boat lover all my life thanks to my late grandfather C.W Foster.Currently in the docks I have a 1970 Chris Craft Commander which is 35 feet long.It was my grandfathers boat and now me and my parents own it!!It is currently moored at Alred Marina on Lake Guntersville,Alabama-which I consider to be paradise!!The boat is in excellent shape and sleeps 6(not too comfortably though!!)I also own a 1959 16.5' Century Resorter which i recieved as a birthday present from my wonderful parents!!It is currently moored under my carport!!I have only operated it twice(probably because I'm scared of scratching it .I am also a member of the Atlanta Sail and Power Squadron-a fraternal organization of fellow boaters.I have been a member since i was 18 years old.The squadron offers social events as well as education for boaters(for which everyone operating a boat needs)
Here are a few pics of me and my grandfather when i was around 3 years old.I loved nothing more than sitting in his lap and steering the boat when I was young.I guess in Jimmy Buffets' words I would be refered to as"a grandson of a son of a sailor"!!
