The Rock Under controversial circumstances, The Rock won the World Wrestling Federation Championship at Survivor Series 1998. The Rock went on to win the title two more times, making the "Great One" a three-time Federation Champion. He’s a gifted athlete, he’s gifted on the microphone—he’s simply a gifted entertainer. And from the Rolex watch to the $500 shirts to the eyebrow and the Corporate Elbow, The Rock is just plain cool. Whether he’s a champion or a contender, a fan favorite or the most hated superstar on the roster, The Rock is a 27-year-old phenom. He’s already the "Most Electrifying Man in Sports-Entertainment," and when it’s all said and done he may go down in history as the most decorated, well-known and renowned superstar the Federation has ever known. Shawn Michaels Perhaps the most exciting and charismatic superstar ever to grace a World Wrestling Federation ring, Shawn Michaels, the founder of the controversial D-Generation X, is the self-proclaimed ICON of sports-entertainment. Michaels holds the distinction of being the only competitor in history to capture the "Grand Slam" of the Federation (holding the Federation Title, Intercontinental Title, European Title and Tag Team Title Kurt Angle Kurt Angle first opened the eyes of the world with his gold-medal performance at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. The Pittsburgh native did his country proud, winning the 220-pound freestyle wrestling competition, and the extraordinarily proud Angle surely won't let anyone forget about it! Angle takes himself very seriously, calling himself the only "real athlete" in the World Wrestling Federation. When the crowd is not behind him, Kurt wonders how anyone could boo an Olympic gold medalist. Hardcore Holly Holly is hardcore to the bone. He’s not above cracking a glass pitcher or coffee mug in someone’s face so long as it results in victory. That attitude is perfect for the Federation’s Hardcore Division. In addition, he's one of the most technically sound competitors in the Federation. His dropkick is considered by many to be the best in the business. His combination of technical skill and hardcore attitude make him a contender for all singles title and, along with his cousin Crash, the Tag Team Championship as well. Ric Flair Woooooo! Stylin' and profilin' to an unprecedented 13 world championships the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Flair's incredible matches and charismatic interviews have destined him for wrestling immortality. From breath-taking entrances, glittering robes and blond tresses to his feared figure-four leg lock, flying knee drop or cocky ring strut – all are patented Nature Boy. Capturing most every major wrestling title against a who's who of superb champions have earned Flair devoted admiration and begrudging respect by fans and enemies alike. His career is a human highlight reel of living life to the fullest. He has survived a plane crash, served as WCW president, wrestled in Pyongyang, North Korea and flamboyantly led the Four Horsemen to renown ring success amidst limousines and late nights. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Stone Cold Steve Austin. The mere mention of his name will bring any sold-out crowd to its feet in a crazed frenzy. Never before has the world of sports-entertainment seen a phenomenon like the one that Stone Cold Steve Austin has created. At any live event you attend, all you see is a sea of Austin 3:16. Why? 'Cause Stone Cold said so! Some peers say Stone Cold Steve Austin is a suicide machine with lack of regard for authority and rules. But you can't deny this superstar is tougher than leather when he steps through the ring ropes. Without a doubt, there are still plenty of unwritten chapters in the book of Austin 3:16! The Godfather The Godfather is a highly-regarded No Holds Barred fighter. His love of hurting people has made him a fearsome force. However, his love of pimpin' has made him a popular superstar among all the Federation's fans. The Godfather is always escorted to the ring by some of his finest ladies. Usually, he will offer his opponents an evening with these ladies of the night. If they refuse, the Godfather doesn't mind…he just takes off his jewelry and gives his opponent a beating. After all, pimpin' ain't easy! Buff Bagwell I swear to god, Buff is the stuff. I love this guy. He is the coolest wrestler that there is. He continues to crack me up every week. This guy, along with Big Papa Pump are two of the brightest stars today. This guy is for real! The Hardy Boyz The Hardy Boyz forever inscribed their names in the annals of World Wrestling Federation history with their breath-taking performance in the Ladder Match at October 1999's No Mercy Pay-Per-View, when they defeated Edge and Christian to win the finals of the Terri Invitational Tournament. Since then, Terri has been their guiding light, leading the tandem to wins over the biggest and best in the Federation. Still in their early 20s, Matt and Jeff Hardy are two of the youngest—and most gifted—high-flying superstars in World Wrestling Federation history Mankind In the rich history of the World Wrestling Federation, no superstar has been more deranged than Mankind. He also apparently feels little if any pain, as evidenced in his Hell In A Cell match with the Undertaker at the 1998 King Of The Ring. Last January, Mankind's lifelong dream came true when he defeated The Rock to become Federation Championship. After losing the title in controversial fashion at the Royal Rumble, he regained it on Super Bowl Sunday. Mankind is one of the three faces of Long Island native Mick Foley, along with hardcore legend Cactus Jack and chick magnet Dude Love, that has been seen in the Federation. Whichever persona Foley competes under, his ability to battle through injury and entertain has earned him the respect and admiration of Federation fans Chris Jericho He calls himself a new hero. Your new party host. The Ayatollah of Rock n' Roll-a. The Y2J problem. Call him whatever you want, but the fact remains...Chris Jericho has arrived in the World Wrestling Federation! With one of the most spectacular entrances in the history of sports-entertainment, Jericho made his Federation debut live in Chicago on RAW IS WAR! Although he's only been here for a short while, Jericho has everyone talking. He feels that he is here to save the Federation, and that every single superstar and fan should be down on their knees thanking Jericho for coming. Needless to say, not everyone feels the same way Jericho does. Whatever this brash young superstar has in mind for the Federation and its fans, it's sure to be exciting and surprising! Jerry "the king" Lawler This is the Greatest "heel" comentator of all time. Almost every week, this guy totally cracks me up. The King is the greatest thing to ever happen to play by play anouncing, in the history of our sport! Eat your heart out Larry Zybsko. Jim Ross Unquestionably, the greatest comentator of all time. JR is the man. No one else can do it quite like him. Vincent K. McMahon In 1982, Vincent K. McMahon bought his father's wrestling company, the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, and set out to realize the vision known today as the World Wrestling Federation. Like other professional wrestling operations of the time, Capitol was a regional enterprise. Vincent K. McMahon's combination of sports and entertainment gave the Federation an appeal that attracted a much broader audience than before. Since that time, the World Wrestling Federation has become the recognized leader in sports-entertainment, attracting half a billion global viewers each week in addition to enormous live event success. In addition, the Federation is home to some of the greatest athletes in the world, from realms such as boxing, football, powerlifting, basketball, Ultimate Fighting and much more. It's a formula for success that Mr. McMahon uses to drive the Federation to new heights of prosperity each year, while at the same time giving the fans the entertainment value they rightfully deserve. It's the era of "Attitude" at its finest, and the McMahon family is the proud catalyst. Scott Steiner The largest arms in the world. Ladies and gentlemen Big Papa Pump destroys all the competition. This guy is a guy that I wouldn't want to mess with. And for all you ladies out there that are looking for a man, check this body out. "Holla, if ya here me?" Mr. Ass As the New Age Outlaws, Road Dogg and Badd Ass have captured the Tag Team Titles five times, making Gunn the only superstar in Federation history to be a eight-time champion in the tag team division. One night after WrestleMania XIV, the Outlaws joined D-Generation X, the most powerful and influential factions in Federation history. Together, the Outlaws became perhaps the most popular and successful duo in Federation history. As great as Badd Ass is in the tag team ranks, many experts say Mr. Ass could be even better in singles competition. He began to live up to those high expectations when he nearly captured the Intercontinental Championship on multiple occasions, and then secured the Hardcore Title just before WrestleMania XV. But whether its in singles competition or the tag team division, there's no denying Mr. Ass is a phenomenal athlete -- arguably the best pound-for-pound in the Federation. Bill Goldberg Definately WCW's star, Goldberg is a gonna be a star for many years to come. His intensity is unmatched, and is power is undescribable. Hopefully WCW will push this guy as their #1 star. Bret Hart Well, Bret Hart is a legend, you have to give him his due. He's a 5 time world champ, and I guess that's saying something. He's normally a pretty classy guy, but needs to know his role, and go back to the wwf. He's simply the "excellence of execution", meaning a great wrestler. HHH Triple H's career took a dramatic upward swing when he enlisted the services of his female bodyguard, Chyna. The duo joined forces with Shawn Michaels to form D-Generation X and change the face of the World Wrestling Federation forever. After Shawn took time off for injuries, Triple H asserted himself as a premier superstar by taking over as leader of the faction. But one year later, Triple H went from one of the most popular superstars in the Federation to one of the most hated in a matter of seconds when he turned his back on DX and aligned himself with the Shane McMahon. Whether or not fans support Triple H, there’s no denying that his career really took off after he left DX. Like a lead singer that leaves a band for a solo career, Triple H made a statement that he wasn’t content merely to be a frontman. Triple H’s actions since he went solo have not made him popular, but they have made him successful, culminating with him capturing the Federation Championship. Now, Hunter is back together with his old DX mates, but is still more poised than ever to achieve his goals and prove that he is "The Game." superstar282@yahoo.com |
