KISSIMMEE, FL-- Bruce Chen's slot as a top- rated Braves
prospect seems to be as strong as ever. Bobby Cox announced
yesterday that he is giving Chen a start in Thursday's
exhibition game against the Georgia Bulldogs. Chen, who
attends Georgia Tech in the offseason, is excited about
facing the Dawgs.
"It's a great opportunity," he told reporters on Sunday.
"It seems like they're giving me every chance to earn
myself [a spot] in the rotation. My arm's feeling great,
I'm ready to go."
