Chapter 1

"Mandy, hurry up already! We have to get to the concert before anyone else does!" shouted Marcy at the top of her lungs. Marcy and her best friends, Mandy Matthews and Mandy Holuroud, were on their way to see BSB perform in New Jersey. Marcy was so physched. She never saw a live concert in her life and she was so happy that it was a BSB concert. She loved BSB, but her favorite Backstreet Boy was A.J. She was amazed by the way he acted—he stood out from the group. With his many tattoos, numerous piercing, and raspy yet soulful voice, he was her true love.

"Marcy, just be patient…we'll get there soon. Don't get your panties in a knot over these guys. Just chill…" Said Mandy as she ran down the stairs. Just then, her cell phone rang. It was Nick calling to see if she was still coming to the concert.

"Yes, Nick. We're still coming. Don't be so paranoid. Just tell Mandy and the rest of the guys that we'll be there soon, okay? Bye!" said Mandy as she hung up the phone.

"Okay, let's get ready to go to the concert." said Matthews. They were all ready to go. Marcy had on her best outfit for them. She wanted to impress A.J. She wanted him to like her for what she really wasn't.

"Gosh, Marcy. You really know how to dress for the occasion," said Matthews as they walked to Marcy's car. She has a green Mercedes ML320 and drove to the concert. At around 4:00 p.m., they made it to the venue. Nick greeted Mandy with a huge hug. She was totally happy.

"Mandy, how are ya'? I haven't seen you in a long time. What have you been up to?" Nick asked like a hyper little kid.

"Nick, calm down. I've been chillin' with Marcy." Mandy said out of breath.

"Oh, so this is Marcy? H, Marcy. How are you?" Nick asked Marcy.

"Hi, Nick. I'm fine. How are you?" Marcy said politely. The conversation continued and they wound up backstage. Marcy then met Mandy Williford, Leigh Anne Wallace, and Kevin and Howie's girlfriends. But, there was something missing: where was A.J.'s girlfriend?

"Mand, where's A.J.'s girlfriend?" Marcy asked quietly.

"Wow! Didn't you hear? They broke up 2 weeks ago. He's pretty heartbroken about it." Mandy responded.

"Oh, man. I feel so bad for him. What should I do?" Marcy asked sadly.

"Well, since you just broke up with Angelo, I figured you could go and talk to him about it. That would be the nice thing for you to do." Mandy responded. So, Marcy gathered up her strength and walked up to A.J. She thought he looked so sexy. She wanted him so bad. He had on a black wife beater that reviled some of his tattoos, some Tommy Hilfiger jeans, his Ralph Lauren sunglasses and a Nike hat. He smelled like CK1, the same fragrance she wears. And they both had on the same glasses. So, right there, she knew that they had the same since of style.

"Hi, A.J.?" said Marcy quietly.

"Whoa, who are you?" A.J. responded slyly.

"My name is Marcy. I just heard about you and your girlfriend….I'm really sorry." Marcy said sadly.

"Oh…it's okay, really. I'm fine about it. She's just a girl. I'll find others…." he said trying to reassure himself that he didn't care about her anymore. Marcy just looked at him. She knew what he was feeling.

"Look, A.J., I know how you're feeling right now. I just got dumped by my boyfriend of 3 years. I gave him everything I had and more. But, he didn't want to be with me anymore for some odd reason. I still love him even though I don't want to. And I know you feel the same way about your ex-girlfriend. So, you can't lie to me. I'm not as dumb as I look." Marcy said. He knew that she was right. So, he just looked into her eyes. She saw the tears about to fall from his eyes, so she opened her arms to hug him.

"Why did she do this to me? She said that she would never leave me, but she did anyway. Why does love have to hurt so bad?" A.J. said crying onto her shoulder.

"Sweetie, I really don't know. But, you'll move on with your life and find someone who will want to spend the rest of her life with you. Because I know a lot of people who would do that, especially with you." Marcy said comforting him.

"Really? You do?" A.J. said looking up at her.

"Of course. You're a good looking, kind hearted, romantic, talented, funny man. Who wouldn't want you?" Marcy said giggling. He laughed with her and then hugged her.

"Thank you so much. By the way, how old are you?" A.J. asked nicely.

"Oh, I'm 16." Marcy responded.

"Wow, you're young!" A.J. said to her.

"Oh, thanks. I love you, too!" Marcy said laughing. They then continued to walk and they found their way to the stage. Marcy decided to spread her musical roots and started to play the piano. She played One Last Cry, one of her favorite BSB solos sang by Brian. Her voice flowed with the piano as music filled the arena. He voice was heavenly and the piano made it better. She ended the song and got a standing ovation. She had no clue that people we actually watching her sing and play the piano. The guys she was backstage with were in shock, including A.J. and Mandy Williford. She had talked to Marcy before and never knew that she could sing like that. She was so shocked that she couldn't move. Marcy walked off stage with total embarrassment. She didn't think that anyone would care if she sang or not. And she didn't really expect anyone to listen to her play and sing. She ran to the nearest open door and cried. Whenever she got embarrassed, she would cry. She then heard a knock and looked up to see who it was. It was A.J.

"Hey! Your singing and playing the piano were excellent. I didn't know that you had that talent." he said kindly.

"Thank you, but I'm so embarrassed. I didn't know that anyone was watching….I'm really kinda shy when it comes to that stuff." Marcy said crying.

"It's okay. With a talent like that, you shouldn't be embarrassed." A.J. said reassuring her that it was okay. He knew that she had a good talent at the piano, but an even greater talent at singing. He wanted to coach her and help her out. He could see a future for her in the singing business. She was the fresh new talent that they were looking for.

"Look, how about I coach you on the singing thing and help you get a career in singing?" A.J. asked.

"Really? That would be so great…thank you!" Marcy said happily. She jumped into his arms and hugged him. She kept saying thank you to him and then finally let go. She was so happy that he would help her get a career in singing. This was her dream come true.
