Comments: This is one of those SAD cases in the world of collecting live PF. This is an excellent show from the early part of the '74 tour where "Shine On..." is performed as a single piece and is IMO one of the best versions out there. In fact, the material on the entire show is top-notch performance wise. The recording is low gen with virtually no hiss. Plus Gilmour gives one of his best "raw" performances on "Shine On". Fortunately, this song sounds pretty decent from the the speed perspective. Unfortunately, the speed of the rest of the recording varies dramatically and at some points is so fast that it is almost irritatingly unlistenable (especially disc 2). This has become all too common from Hip Cat, who seem to come up with some gems for shows, but they really screw up the speed on most of their releases!

This would be an excellent show, if the speed was right. With some TLC, I think some compensation could be done to correct the speed problems, which would make this much better.

The content being from one of the first shows to feature "Shine On" and "Raving and Drooling" makes this interesting, nonetheless. Check XREF for another version of this that I have not heard.
