hihi there. ohhh..i'm soo gladie to have u landed on MiYuki's Wonderland! ^_^ enjoy urself...but don't forget to go back home, k? or ur mummy says,"Naughty Girl", don't blame me nor MiYuki. *lol* just kidding.

MiYuki's New Find-Out

i was beginning to feel left out. i was suppose to be at the arcade with my family. all because naggy mummy says,"Oh, come'on honey, u shouldn't be there. u ought to be studying right now for ur exams." "Mummy!"i yelled. "You're in high school now MiYuki, you gotta study hard enough for college,"mummy said. without a word, i dragged myself into my bedroom. happy younger sister-Little Bunny went with my parents to the arcade. sigh..i dread this!

parents are like that and so do my friends. i rung up my best friends- Fushigi, Haruka and Mina. none of them were free. "Oh no, i'm so sorry Mimi, look, i've promised mummy to clean up the house," Fushigi said. "But...umm..how about i go over your house and help you out with the cleaning?"i asked politely. "No, you can't Mimi. my daddy is at home, he'll report to mummy that the cleaning isn't completely done by me. Sorry. Bye,"Fushigi replied and hung up the phone. "Oh okay,"i mumbled. "Hey Mimi! I wanna hang out with you too but i've promised my mother to teach my younger brother how to use the Internet. I've gottie no time. Sorry,"Haruka said apologeticly. "How about moi going over to your house and teach?"i asked. "hold on mum....i won't keep u long..gottie go, bye!"Haruka hung up the phone. So, she didn't even hear what i said! "How about it, Mina? Please?"i asked Mina. "Mimi, well, i've gottie to study for the exams, i can't let u come here nor hang out with you today. But, what about next next Saturday, when the exams are over?" Mina replied. "Oh well, that's it. I knew it long before. Okay then, bye..."I said, hanging up the phone reluctantly.

so, what am i suppose to do? oh no, don't tell me to study for the exams like a nerd...no way. i don't wanna be Mina. anyway, no one wanna play with me, why don't u hop on in? log onto ur network and we'll explore together? good. come'on..let's go! =)

*MiYuki logs onto the network and comes to http://www.mangapalace.com/* Hey, isn't this interesting? it's all about anime and stuffs! i've heard of it before but i don't really know what is this about? oh yeah, gotcha! let's get onto "manga?". *MiYuki clicks on "manga?" * oh kewl, this is soo nice.

The Japanese origin

Manga was introduced 1814 by the famous artist Katsushika Hokusai. At that time manga was painted pictures of fighting samurais. Later the founder of todays modern manga Osamu Tezuka created the first animated TV-serie Tetuswan Atom (Astro Boy when released in U.S.). Now the manga artists in Japan begun to copy his style, the big rounded eyes and the small nose. Manga got really popular in the late 70s and the early 80s when the anime Robotech was released. In Japan manga is the most common where anime has been standing somewhat in the background. But in the western countries anime is the most popular. The main part of the movies are released for video only. These are called OAVs (Original Animation Video). There is now an abundance of of movies where Akira probably is the most known. Another famous success-movie is Ghost in the Shell (1995). Also note that while the anime are in beautiful colours the manga is mostly black and white paintings.

now i see...that's exactly why we have anime and manga today, rite? i get it now. it was so much fun knowing about the origin. now what are they actually? *MiYuki scratches her head*

What is manga and what is anime?

People often talk about two genres, manga and anime. So what is the difference between them? Anime is an animation or cartoon, while manga is a comic. Anime is often, but not always, based on a popular manga serie. Manga and anime have been very popular in Japan since quite many years. In Japan everyone, young and old, reads manga comics, believe it or not but there are also those who breathe manga (^_^), it's a daily part of their lives. The word manga is loosely translatable as cartoon or caricature, or literally, involuntary pictures. But note, the word manga does not mean comic or comic books any more than karate (lit. empty hand) means boxing.

now i see. but i don't really understand much. aha, come'on let's get on here! *MiYuki goes on the journey of Anime to http://tap.animeonline.og* this is gonna be wonderful! oh, we'll choose...umm...Anime Info. *MiYuki checking out* Done! okee, i gotcha it. have ya?

now, i see now. so, there are actually lotsa different types of anime around here. rite? i'll have to check out each and single one of them. so far, i know of the Sailormoon series, Slam Dunk, Akazukin Cha Cha, MGirl etc. what about u? well, now i suppose it'll be great if i can draw some anime/manga characters...let's see...i've gottie this homepage where u'd be able to see puppy and her friends drawing some great pictures of anime as well as manga! they look so great on her webpage. but it's never right to take them away. i've viewed quite alot of pics...it'll be nice if i can draw them. i'll print some out now and practice drawing them. do u think u wanna work on that too? =) *MiYuki prints some out and slot them into her new file-My Anime/Manga Folder*

it was great having u with me to explore the world of fun-anime/manga! i hope u enjoyed being with me the way i enjoyed being with u. i don't feel much kinda of being left out now...i gonna tell my best friends about it! then, they won't think i'm soo useless, finding them for company when i'm bored. haha..wait till u see how angry they'd get! bye!
