The night was quiet and clear.
You could hear nature in the sounds of
the summer song of crickets and frogs.
The moon full and warm to light above.

To dream now was of an angel
and most on my mind at this time;
as when I'm alone and sleepy
my angel Joyce Anne comes to mind.

An angel seen from close or a far;
she at work is dressed in white.
While others sleep and dream tonight
I will dream to seek her to hold me tight.

So when I dream I don't forget
to dream of angels, more than one
for with Joyce the day is the same
in her presence I feel the spirit near.

Yet of the sisters in my life are many
who now have called me brother
and each an angel a rustling to hear
watching, caring protecting over me.

Thus when they bid me sweet dreams
of an angel of which they are one,
I seek to do their bidding and know so well,
my loving angel first named Joyce Anne.
