Zoo Trip - August 1998
The start of the zoo trip was from club member, Kathryn McGoldrick's house.
We went down Moncrief creek to the Trout River and followed it to the zoo. It was about a 45 minute paddle.
Once at the zoo we walked around for a couple of hours and paddled back to Kathryn's house. She had snacks and everything!!!
Since anyone who would like to try this trip probably won't be able to leave from Kathryn's house you can leave from the Trout
River boat ramp. Once at the zoo you can leave your kayaks on the dock. That is the only way you can get into the zoo from the water.
When you arrive by water the entrance fee is free to the zoo. They have places to eat and restrooms. It is a fun short paddle.
