Meredith, an only child, just missed being a New Year's Baby. She was born on December 30th in Houston, Texas and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois. Meredith's parents divorced early on, when she was 2, and she spent her younger years in Hinsdale, with her mom, Judith, a client liaison for Lucent Technologies. Hinsdale, IL. is a small affluent township, pop. 17,000, just west of Chicago. Meredith spent summers with her dad, Jerol, in both Texas and Florida. Her dad moved often because of his work as a computer-company manager.
After graduating, Hinsdale Central High School, the 5'6 1/2" brown-eyed blonde-haired beauty moved to New York, to pursue a modeling career. In 1995 Meredith began appearing in commercials and magazine print ads. Her earliest commercial appearance was in a May 1995 Loreal Hair Care Products TV commercial. She has since, to present day, appeared in 30+ TV commercials and Magazine print ads covering everything from floors, (Manning Floor magazine ad March 1996), to bicycles, (Huffy Mountain Bikes TV commercial January 1998), to aliens in her most recent 1999 7-Up TV spot. She's even appeared on a Mattel Toys "Compatability Game" box cover in October 1996 and on Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Book Covers December 1997.
Meredith's first big acting break came when she landed the role of Tracy Daiken on the short lived, (Sept 1996 - March 1997 17 episodes), ABC TV series "Dangerous Minds". After landing the "Dangerous Minds" role, Meredith relocated from New York to Los Angeles, Ca. She only appeared in three of the four final 17 episodes (#'s 14, 15, and 16) before the show was cancelled. The role, however, was important enough & instrumental in helping her land guest spots on several other TV series.
Meredith's real career jackpot and opportunity of a lifetime came just last year (1998), when she landed the coveted role of Andie McPhee on "Dawson's Creek." "Dawson's Creek" creator said, "We had a hard time casting the role of Andie, but we found an amazing girl." Meredith has since relocated to Wilmington N.C. where the, fictional Capeside, Massachusetts, series is filmed. Since her initial appearance, Oct 1998, on "Dawson's Creek" Meredith's popularity and recognition continues to soar.
Meredith also landed the title role in the upcoming CBS TV film production of "Beyond The Prarie: The True Story Of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The production is scheduled to air on CBS TV in March or April of this year, 1999. Meredith is currently romantically involved with a New York City massage therapist and EMS student. His name is Steve and he is 28-years-old. The pair met through a mutual friend in New York. Meredith is represented by the celebrity management firm of James / Levy / Jacobson. Their offices are located in Los Angeles, CA.
