Ami, Mako, Chibiusa, and Usagi are in Usagi's room. Ami and Usagi are playing chess. When Usagi lose, Ami notice that she must go to the Chess Tower.

Rubeus, Petz, Karaberas and Beruche are in the " flying object " watching Cooan, who had turned into a human by the help of Sailor Moon. Rubeus say that he will take care of Cooan later. They have found another crystal point ( Chess Tower ) and Beruche decide that she will go there by herself.

Ami, Mako and Usagi arrive in Chess Tower. Ami tell about the tournament on the coming Sunday. Usagi say that surely Ami will win, but Ami say that she just like chess and it doesn't matter if she win. But they're surprised by Beruche ( who is in her human form ) who say that  the result is important. She also say that a game is only for kid if it isn't played for win. Mako try to defend Ami and say that it doesn't matter who will win, the important thing is they already try. But Beruche say that that is an excuse for losers. After Beruche go in, Ami say that she must meet the owner.

Ami play chess with the owner of Chess tower. The owner say that Ami doesn't seem to be lonely anymore. Ami smile and say that she has found some good friends. Then Ami see Beruche sneaking around the Chess Tower.

Beruche go to a room which is the central of crystal point and begin to use her dark water to fill the room with dark energy. Ami come and tell her to stop. Beruche say that she hate nice people like Ami and blast her. Beruche was about to finish Ami but Ami quickly transform and use her Shine Aqua Illusion to get rid of Beruche's fog. Beruche get mad and are going to attack but the Sparkling Wide Pressure blast her hand. Sailormoon and Sailorjupiter have appear. Beruche then escape. Ami tell the others that Beruche has discovered her identity since she transformed in front of Beruche.

In the flying object Petz and Karaberas come and tease Beruche. Beruche said that she doesn't need help.

In the tournament, Minako, Usagi, Rei, Makoto and Cooan come to support Ami. Usagi start to take out some fans and cheering loudly for Ami. Minako and Makoto get embarassed. Rei tell Usagi to be quiet. The owner of Chess Tower who sit near them ask who they are. They explain that they are friends of Ami. Minako ask if Ami is able to win, but the owner say that Ami has strong rival. Cooan look at the screen and realize that it is Beruche.

Finally, the final match is between Ami and Beruche. Beruche take out her own chess pieces and offer Ami to use it. Ami agree since it is pretty. Ami feel that Beruche's hands is very cold. The match begin and everyone is watching on the TV monitor since the match is played in a different room. It looks like that Ami is losing and Usagi start to worry. But Ami spot a move and get a check. Beruche is upset and whisper to Ami and call her Sailormercury. Ami is shocked and finally realize that her opponent is actually their enemy. Beruche get up and destroy the TV cameras. Beruche returned in her normal form and Ami transform to Sailormercury.

Since they can't see anything in the monitors, Usagi and the others plan to find out what is going on. Beruche and Sailormercury are facing off. Beruche say that she want to battle Sailormercury in chess. But the senshi appear and Sailormoon say that Beruche is one million and fifty thousand years too young to challenge Ami in chess. Beruche laugh and make the senshi trapped in a large sphere. Sailormars try to use her Burning Mandala and the others is shocked because it only bounce around inside the sphere. Sailormercury realize that her friends is in trouble and agree to continue the match. Beruche start cheating and move her pieces to better positions, saying that someone like Ami should be able to handle it. Beruche explain that the body will start freezing when one of the piece is taken. After a few move Sailormercury legs begin to freeze. Sailormoon and Sailormars yell to support Sailormercury. Beruche offer to save Mercury if she give up. Sailormercury say that she want to continue. Beruche take another Mercury's piece and Sailormercury's body start to freeze. The senshi yell to Mercury and ask her to escape. Beruche say to Sailormercury that it is stupid to give her life just to save the others. But Sailormercury say that the senshi aren't others, they are her friends and she must protect them no matter what will happen.

Petz and Karaberas appear. When Beruche is going to take one of Sailormercury's piece suddenly a red rose flying by and knock it to the ground. The ice around Sailormercury and the sphere disappear. Petz and Karaberas escape and say that it is Beruche's fault. Beruche get depressed and say that even a real sisters is like that. She is foolish to trust her sisters. Then she use her dark water. But Cooan is running to her. She throw the ice to Cooan and knocking her down. Then senshi help Cooan. Cooan then tell Beruche the reasons why she is sad. Beruche need to feel her own love. Beruche still isn't sure and ask if she really have love too. Cooan say of course to her. Then Beruche say that she want to become a normal human too like Cooan. 

Sailormoon use her power to turn Beruche into human.
