Sailormercury is often compared to Sailorneptune because both of them are pretty, smart, have a water type attack, and can swim. Most people think that Sailorneptune is much better than Sailormercury because she is stronger and prettier. Some also say that Neptune is naturally smart while Mercury is only "booksmart". Is it true ? Here is the facts :

1. Who is smarter ? Has more talents ?
Many people say Michiru is, because they think Michiru is naturally smart. Who can prove this ? Yes, I know that Michiru attend Mugen Gakuen school (I don't know the school's name in NA version). It is a place for smart student. But that is because she want to get more information about the enemies. Ami is the one who naturally smart and her IQ is 300. Surely with her high IQ she can understand anything that she read. Strange, isn't it ? Why should she study seriously if she already smart ? The answer is actually simple, she is just too diligent and have a little self confidence. As a senshi, she also come with brilliant strategy. Usually, she's the one who first realize if something is wrong, and at that time too she ask the others to do her plan. 

Now let's see another fact. Ami's mother is a doctor and her father is an artist. So at least she inherited some talents from her parents, not all may be, but that's it, she has the spirit of a doctor (to help people) and an artist (creative). One more thing, Michiru is older than Ami, I think one or two years. Someone who say that they are in the same age must be very stubborn, don't understand the shows or never read the manga. So therefore, if Michiru is smarter than Ami, it's just because of her age. Also don't you realize that Ami doesn't want to show her true ability ? Remember when Michiru challenge her to swim ? The result may be draw. But who won (exactly) ? Ami. Michiru also admit that the result was draw just because Ami doesn't show her true ability. May be we should only compare Ami in age 15 with Michiru in age 15 too.

2. Who is more powerful ?
No doubt, Sailorneptune. Everyone know that. Her attacks is much powerful than Sailormercury's attack. Sailormercury fans, please remember that it is useless to prove that Sailormercury is strong in attack. But if we are talking about endurance, we can say that Sailormercury is the best defensive senshi. Also, being a defensive senshi, doesn't mean that her attacks is useless. Shabon Spray is often underestimated for it's weak power. But remember, how can you attack powerful and may be also fast enemies if no one confuse them ? And how about Mercury Aqua Rapshody (attack that appear in Sailormoon SuperS episodes) ? Is this attack weak ? No. It is said that this attack do the same amount of damage compared to Jupiter's attack in Sailormoon SuperS.

3. Who is prettier ?
There are no facts about this, only opinion. But we can learn from this quote : " Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ".

4. Who is better in battle ?
Every senshi have their own style in battle. They are best in their style. Sailorneptune can attack enemy directly because her attack is already strong. The inner senshi usually can't, because they're not as strong as the outer. From what I read in the manga, inner's job is only to protect Princess Serenity. Not to kill or defeat enemies. So one of good strategy in battle is to examine the enemy's weak point first. Then make them confuse. This will make them vulnerable and you can attack easily.

Final conclusion
Both have many talents. Michiru can swim, play violin, smart, kind, elegant,  etc. And Ami can play chess, speak other language, dancing, kind, very smart, gentle, etc. There is no use in comparing them just to see who is the best senshi since you won't gain anything by doing it.

Another words from me
Sailormercury and Sailorneptune fans don't "take revenge" by making anti page just because you see someone insulting your favorite senshi. It is the beginning of new argument. Just because one Neptune/Mercury fans hate another character and make anti page, doesn't mean that you can blame all Neptune/Mercury fans. As a reminder, my page is not anti page for Anti Mercury.
