2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth and thick. Serve immediately. Recipe should make pint.
Stir sugar and water in heavy medium saucepan over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and bring to boil. Place cocoa in small bowl. Gradually whisk in sugar syrup. Return mixture to same saucepan. Boil 1 minute, whisking constantly. Pour into bowl. Whisk in vanilla and cool completely. Cover and chill until cold, at least 1 hour. (Syrup can be made 1 week ahead. Keep refrigerated.)
Use basic ingredients or ice cream and milk, then follow remaining recipe.
Preheat and then cool the milk, Soak the dates for 15 minutes.
Combine Milk and Dates with Powdered Sugar in a blender and blend on high speed until blended well. Add Vanilla Ice Cream to blender and blend 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth and thick. Serve immediately. Recipe should make a pint.
NOTE: You can use following product, basically powdered dates, instead of real dates.
Mix date crystals into milk, set in cool place for at least 2 hours then refrigerate.
