FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT RENEE ZELLWEGER

Where can I write to her?

No one knows for sure, but Iwould think that the best bet would be writing to her, care of her talent agency. No one has reported a successful response, but it remains, in my mind, the best bet. The address is:

Renee Zellweger

c/o United Talent Agency

9560 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 500

Beverly Hills, CA 90212-2400

Phone: (310) 273-6700

10/26/98 - I have received word of another address for a different talent agency. I cannot confirm which of the two talent agencies represents Renée, but you may want to try both.

Do you talk to her?

No. I don't. I wish I did, but I have never had any contact with Renée. The best I can say is that I have been in contact with many friends of hers, one of whom confirmed that she has looked at this site in his presence.

Was she in 'Mallrats'?

No, she wasn't. Joey Lauren Adams ('Chasing Amy', 'Michael'), who is often mistaken for Renée, is the one who everyone thinks is Renée. Renée has also been mistaken for other Adams roles, such as 'Biodome', and the TV series 'Married...With Children', and it's spinoff 'Top of the Heap'. Where was she in 'Dazed and Confused'?

During the pool hall scene, Matthew McConaughey's character is standing outside, leaning against the wall, watching several girls go by. A tall, thin, apple-cheeked girl walks by, right before the line, "That's why I love high school girls." That's Renée. I've heard rumors of her presence in other scenes, in the same background manner, but I cannot confirm or deny them.

Where was she in 'My Boyfriend's Back'?

Although no one has a definitive answer, I believe that she is the blonde girl in the white shirt who sits at the back of the classroom early in the film. You never get a good look at her face, but she flips her hair just like Renée has in other films.

What is her e-mail address?

Renée just admitted in a recent Vanity Fair article that she has only recently purchased a computer, and that she has no idea how to send e-mail or look around on the internet. Hopefully she'll be able to figure it out. If she does, hopefully she'll suppress some of her modesty and look at some of the sites devoted to her. If that does happen, Renée, I'd love some e-mail. Otherwise, if anyone else were to come across her address, I'd like to know. I promise I'll take good care of it.

Do you have any naked pictures of her?

No. Of course I don't have any. Even if such pictures existed, I wouldn't put them on my site. I'd like to think that Renée is a special enough actress to be able to get by without stooping to such measures. So far, she's proved me right, and as long as she continues to do so, there won't be any naked pictures of her anywhere in cyberspace. Of course, there are porn sites that claim to have nude pix of Renée, but if you sibscribe to those services, I'd expect you to find a nude model with Renée's head pasted on.

Where can I get her films outside of the United States?

I don't know how many films of hers are translated into other languages, but you should be able to order most of her English-version films over the web. I know the Internet Movie Database sells a few films, and a Yahoo search of "Home Videos" might prove productive. You might also want to ask your video store to look into such measures. They might have more access to American video catalogs. You must understand, however, that many of her films ('Shake, Rattle and Rock', 'Murder in the Heartland', etc.) cannot be found in the U.S. and some ('The Low Life', 'Love and a .45') are fairly difficult even for us. Foreign fans, however should have better access to one of Renée's most elusive films, 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre-The Next Generation' (available in the U.S. as'The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre'), which was only recently released stateside, but has been available in several other countries. Such countries would probably be the only ones who are able to view exclusive (but unspectacular) footage that was cut from the film's American release.

Did she really sing at the end of Empire Records ?

That one is still unknown. The song she sang, usually a Sugarhigh song, was recordedby the Coyote Shivers on the CD. Her part is not featured on the CD.She was also not credited as a vocalist on the song inthe film's credits. This, the fact that the producers of this alt-rock soundtrack, I mean movie, would find it hard to let an actress sing when a hot rock act could sing it, and Renée's lip-synching history (see 'Shake, Rattle and Rock')lead me to believe that she does not sing in the movie.

What's this "Coach Thomas" deal?

A Katy High School student informed me a while back that Renée, at one time, dated the person who was to become KHS' "Coach Thomas" (Renée never dated a coach while in high school). I admit that I was too hasty in reporting this (I thought a KHS student, who probably had said coach for a class, was a credible source). Renée once dated a guy whose last name was Thompson, but never dated a Thomas, let alone KHS' Coach Thomas.
