  • Pilot (9/22/00)
    This catty satire features the backstage drama of the fictional teen soap “Grosse Pointe.” In the opener, series lead Hunter Fallow fears her star is being eclipsed by a new arrival, stage-trained Courtney Scott, who is cast as the orphaned cousin of Hunter's character. Hunter: Irene Molloy. Courtney: Bonnie Somerville. Marcy: Lindsay Sloane. The episode was written by Darren Star (#01000).

  • Thieves Like Us (9/29/00)
    Hunter talks a reluctant Marcy into helping her sabotage Courtney's scenes by making faces at her out of camera range. Hunter's ploy backfires, however, when the unsuspecting producers call her on the carpet about another her less-than-legal off-duty habit. (#01001).

  • Prelude To A Kiss (10/6/00)
    The actors are at each other’s throats when the new script calls for Courtney’s character to get hot and heavy with Quentin’s (Kohl Sudduth) character, threatening Hunter’s status as one-half of television’s swooniest couple. Meanwhile, Marcy gets burned when she throws a huge premiere party just for the chance to spend time with Johnny (Al Santos), and Dave "the stand in" (Kyle Howard) hits up the cast members for cash.   • Devil In A Blue Dress (10/13/00)
    Hunter is over the moon when she is up for the lead in a heavyweight director’s new political exposé "Lewinsky," and to show how serious she is, she tests the old adage that "you can never be too thin" and packs on the pounds for the screen test. While Hunter devours the script, along with several pepperoni pizzas, Quentin becomes the official spokesperson for a walk against prostate cancer when the organization wants to identify the disease with a younger face, along with Joe E. Tata (Nat from "Beverly Hills, 90210," guest-starring as himself). Jake Kasden directed the episode written by Darin Henry (#01003).

  • Halloween (10/20/00)
    After recovering from an accident on the set, Marcy finally finds her own hot guy when the girls take her out clubbing. Meanwhile, Dave has to find another place to live when Johnny throws him out of the trailer. Jake Kasdan directed the episode written by Wendy Engelberg & Amy Engelberg (#01004).

  • Mommie Dearest (10/27/00)
    Hunter is ecstatic when she talks Rob into hiring her reformed-alcoholic mother Helena for a bit part. But an ambitious Helena isn't satisfied with her one-line character and sets her sights on a steamier role, leaving a dismayed Hunter to rethink her support. Elsewhere, Courtney and Johnny prepare to play a charity volleyball match with cast members of “Popular.” Peyton Reed directed the episode written by Will Gluck (#01005).

  • Sleeping With The Enemy (11/5/00)
    As the tabloid headlines scream "Hunter Fallow’s real-life mom steals her TV boyfriend and sets the stage for a comeback," Hunter is determined to grab back the spotlight and makes her own play to be Quentin's date to Johnny’s movie premiere. At the big event, Johnny makes a grand entrance through the paparazzi line with Courtney on his arm, while Marcy becomes a fashion victim in front of E! Entertainment Television reporter Ted Casablanca (guest starring as himself). Andrew Fleming directed the episode written by Ellen Idelson & Rob Lotterstein (#01006).

  • Satisfaction (11/12/00)
    A new female executive producer (guest star Lisa Edelstein, "The West Wing") tries to bring some "girl power" to Grosse Pointe by empowering the women and exploiting the men, especially Johnny who is practically undressed in the entire show. Meanwhile, Marcy, embarrassed by the blunt sex talk in the episode and insecure about being believable, makes a startling confession to Hunter and Courtney, forcing the friends to take matters into their own hands.   • Boys On The Side (11/19/00)
    Courtney’s boyfriend Deegan (guest star Ryan Scott Greene) arrives for a surprise visit and while she tries to convince him to move to L.A., he spends the time insulting her friends and suggesting her acting career is just a phase. Back on set, Johnny discovers that the teen fan that won "A Date with Johnny Bishop" is the last thing he expected, and Dave (Kyle Howard) becomes Hunter’s personal assistant and friend by default.   • Puppet Master (11/26/00)
    Hunter declares an old boyfriend (guest star Bernard Van Bilderbeek) off limits when he is hired as a director for "Grosse Pointe," but the real claws come out after he gives Courtney all of his attention, on and off screen. Jim Fall directed the episode written by Will Gluck (#01009).

  • Star Wars (12/17/00)
    After Hunter suffers from some embarrassing gas during a scene and Quentin mocks her mercilessly about it in front of the whole crew, she lashes back with a nasty restraining order that keeps him from being within 15 feet from her at all times – including while shooting the show’s love scenes.   • Barenaked In America (1/7/01)
    Courtney (Bonnie Somerville) worries that her career and reputation may be in jeopardy after naked photos of her run in a trashy men’s magazine courtesy of her ex-boyfriend, but the network is thrilled as ratings skyrocket and she is anointed the new "It" girl. Dennis Erdman directed the episode written by Robin Schiff & Will Gluck (#01011).

  • Secrets and Lies (1/14/01)
    Dave (Kyle Howard) becomes the Grosse Pointe gigolo as his personal assistant job working for Hunter (Irene Molloy) grows into a more intimate relationship, a surefire recipe for disaster. Meanwhile, Quentin (Kohl Sudduth) wants to celebrate his upcoming birthday but can’t seem to decide the age he is supposed to be. Alan Myerson directed the episode written by Darren Star (#01012).

  • The End Of The Affair (2/4/01)
    Kristin Davis ("Sex and the City") guest-stars as herself who is cast to play a naughty madam in the strip club that Laura now works at in the fictional series. Meanwhile, when Dave ends his relationship with Hunter, she has him fired and removed from the studio lot. Dennis Erdman directed the episode written by Ellen Idelson & Rob Lotterstein (#01013).

  • The Opposite of Sex (2/11/01)
    After being arrested for an illicit act, Quentin must attend Sex Addicts Anonymous meetings where he meets Jason Priestley (guest-starring as himself, "Beverly Hills, 90210"), but an encounter with Courtney may drive Jason "off the wagon." On the set, Marcy is distraught about the network’s decision to leave the fate of her character in viewers’ hands through a call-in vote. Jason Priestley directed the episode written by Will Gluck (#01014).

  • Passion Fish (2/16/01)
    Marcy uses her new friendship with Sarah Michelle Gellar (guest-starring as herself) to land the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star for a guest appearance on "Grosse Pointe," and everyone is intrigued when Sarah demands an on-screen kiss – with Marcy’s character. Darren Star wrote and directed the episode (#01016).

  • My Best Friend’s Wedding (2/18/01)
    Hunter shocks her co-stars when she announces impetuous plans to marry Dweezil Zappa (guest-starring as himself). As maid of honor, Marcy only has a few days to plan all the details, while Hunter hires publicity-garnering celebrities including Elizabeth Berkley ("Any Given Sunday," "First Wives Club"; guest-starring as herself) to "star" as a bridesmaid.
