I compiled this information on this page from many different sources. Much of it is from interviews and articles about Renée. Some of it comes from friends of friends of classmates that I've talked to, most of whom are very willing to talk about her (with one unfortunate acception-my roommate works with someone who used to date Renée, in college or high school, I'm not sure which. I had my roommate ask him if he'd be willing to contribute anything and he replied "Hell no!"). However, most of this information comes from high school and college classmates of hers who have sent e-mail. I see no reason to doubt the authenticity of their information. • Was unable to drive in high school and often relied on friends for rides

• Lived in Dobie, an off-campus dorm in Dobie Mall, her freshman year.
• Had an apartment on West 221/2 St. her Junior year
• Lived in the Railyard apartment complex on 4th Street with a boyfriend her senior year, and later moved into a house with him in Westlake (Austin's high-class suburb). She eventually moved out and into an apartment on Riverside Drive.
• Was on the Dean's list several times
• Took a non-major acting class in UT's Theatre and Dance Department to fulfill a Fine Arts requirement, and caught the "Acting Bug". We all know what happened from there.
• Supported herself with a hostessing job at Sugar's, a popular Austin topless bar (No, she wasn't topless). While Texas Monthly has Renée working at Sugar's, a friend of hers has her working at the Yellow Rose instead.
• Often drove to Dallas to audition for film parts.
• Did local commercials for beer companies and fast food restaurants.
• Drove a Honda Civic CRX.
