Greatest
Moment: Knightmare came into
the IWA with no ego whatsoever. However, he showed up at the perfect moment and
the perfect time, because he showed up right when the World Heavy Weight Champion,
Ezekiel threw out an open challenge, and Knightmare accepted. The match was a
long and grueling one with Knightmare winning the World Heavy Weight Title at
the very first IWA pay per view at Night of Hell, when he reversed Ezekiel's
Final Judgement and delivered a match ending DDT.

Greatest
Moment: At New Year's Bash
1999, Suicide was dealt tragedy when the huge giant known as Zombie came out of
nowhere, and chokeslammed Tracy on the concrete, stopping his match with
Skyscraper. Suicide and Zombie would fight at the next pay per view,
Valentine's Day Massacre. The match was absolutely brutal as both men wanted to
destroy each other. The match went all over the place, but it culminated around
a set of three tables, as Zombie delivered the Zombie Maker not once, not
twice, but three times on Suicide, the final being through three tables. Each
time, Zombie tried to pin Suicide, but he refused to stay down. However, the
third time proved too much for even Suicide and he was pinned. However, he
proved how much heart he had to get up after two other Zombie Makers to the
concrete. He would later go on to win back the US Title from Zombie just a week
later.
Titles
Held: Two time United States
Heavy Weight Championship, One time 1/2 World Tag Team Champion
Greatest
Moment: Skyscraper had three
great matches with then US Champion Suicide. In their most memorable match at
New Year's Bash, they were both dealing bone crushing blows, and it seemed as
though they always stayed toe to toe. However, the match ended with Zombie
coming to the ring, and chokeslamming Suicide's manager, and future wife,
Tracy. Suicide immediately forgot about Skyscraper, and went to her side.
Instead of capitalizing on the situation, and winning the US Title, Skyscraper
helped Suicide with Tracy, ending the match with no winner.
Greatest
Moment: After Night of Hell,
Ezekiel disappeared with everyone thinking never to be seen again. Everyone was
very wrong. At New Year's Bash, he orchestrated so many things. He had The
Fallen Craig Hunter destroy his former tag team partner and best friend, Matt
Micheals. He had Zombie come out and chokeslam Tracy. And finally, the entire
Brotherhood, as they would come to be known as, came down to the ring after the
Main Event, and literally destroyed both Omega and Knockoff.
Titles
Held: Two time World Heavy
Weight Champion, One time United States Heavy Weight Champion, One time World
Television Champion, One time 1/2 World Tag Team Champion
Greatest
Moment: At Valentine's Day
Massacre, the first Hardcore Champion was set to be crowned in a grueling
anything goes fatal fourway match. The match did not even make it to the ring,
as The Ruiner, along with Psycho, Hardcore Danny Grass, and Fate battled in the
hallways of RW Chauncey Arena. The match was as brutal as it came, but in the
end, The Ruiner delivered his famous and feared Insesticide, and was able to
pin Psycho, to become the first Hardcore Champion.
Titles
Held: Two time World Hardcore
Champion, One time 1/2 World Tag Team Champion
Greatest
Moment: At New Year's Bash,
Omega battled the World Heavy Weight Champion, Knockoff, in an Iron Man, Hell
in a Cell match the likes never seen before. The actual match went back and
forth, but the biggest memory had to be when both Omega and Knockoff made it to
the top of the cell. Knockoff ran at Omega, and Omega grabbed him, and flipped
him over with a powerslam. The powerslam had even more impact than he realized,
because the top of the cell gave way, and Knockoff was slammed, more than 15
feet, to the mat below, allowing Omega to get the deciding pinfall of the
evening, to become the World Heavy Weight Champion.
Titles
Held: One time World Heavy
Weight Champion
Greatest
Moment: At Dead Men Walking,
Jamie Stirl not only unsuccessfully defended his Hardcore Title, but also
competed in the Royal Rumble. First he had to defend his title against the man
known as Fate. It was a grueling match, and still considered one of the best
matches of all time. The match climaxed around The Brotherhood's hearse, which
both wrestlers used as a weapon to injury each other. However, in the end, Fate
powerbombed Stirl through a wooden coffin to capture the Hardcore Title.
However, Stirl's night was not over. After everyone thought he would withdraw
from the Royal Rumble, not only did Stirl still come out, but he came out in
the #1 position. Beaten and battered, Stirl still managed to be one of the last
eliminated.
Titles
Held: Three time World
Hardcore Champion, One time 1/2 World Tag Team Champion
Greatest
Moment: At Dead Men Walking,
Uzu entered into the Royal Rumble at number 19. He fought just about everyone
in the IWA at the time at least once, and eliminated a good many of them. In
the end, it came down to just him and Zombie. They were the two biggest men in
the entire IWA. Their fight was brutal with Zombie getting the upperhand. Then
he made a mistake, and attempted to do the Zombie Maker on Uzu. This allowed
Uzu to back body drop Zombie over the top rope, and become the first Dead Men
Walking Royal Rumble winner. However, his greatest moment was still to come, as
Mr. Tanaka climbed into the ring and began to berate Uzu. Uzu had finally been
pushed too far, as he nailed Mr. Tanaka with all of his might. The cheers were
deafening in the arena that night, as Uzu finally broke free of his control and
became his own man.
Titles
Held: One time World Heavy
Weight Champion, One time 1/2 World Tag Team Champion, 1999 Dead Men Walking
Royal Rumble Winner
Greatest
Moment: Just weeks before
Armageddon, Mr. Nobody threw Thunder in apparently no win situation against his
fellow teammates at the time. In the end, Thunder lost the World Title to War
Machine thanks to The Brotherhood coming down, and knocking everyone out with
chairs. However, fate would step in as War Machine mysteriously disappeared,
and was stripped of the title. Mr. Nobody set-up a fatal four way inside a Hell
in a Cell to determine the new World Champion. Thunder, along with his
opponents, Shadow, The Unforgiven, and Mark Damian, had a match like none other
inside that cell. The match was grueling for all participants in it, but even
more so for the final participants. After Unforgiven and Mark Damian were
eliminated, it came down to Thunder and Shadow. After several near pinfalls,
Thunder was able to pin Shadow and was crowned the new World Heavy Weight
Champion.
Titles
Held: Three time World Heavy
Weight Champion, One time World Television Champion
Greatest
Moment: At Final Conflict,
Dark Shadow was set to face the toughest challenge of his career. One of the
few people to ever pin Shadow's shoulder's to the mat, in the form of Thunder.
The match would be a sixty minute iron man match that is considered the
greatest match in IWA history, and it was for the biggest prize in the IWA, the
World Heavy Weight Championship. The match was extremely long, with no one
scoring a pinfall until the last few minutes of the match. Both Shadow and
Thunder scored numerous pinfall attempts on each other, and both men did their
finishing move on more than one occasion. However, in the end Dark Shadow
scored the one and only pinfall in this grueling match, to retain the World
Title.
Titles
Held: One time World Heavy
Weight Champion, One time United States Heavy Weight Champion, One time World
Television Champion
Greatest
Moment: Downfire's greatest
moment isn't in the ring, although he has had some great moments in the ring.
No, his greatest moment...his greatest attribute is his motivation and loyalty.
Downfire joined the IWA shortly after the start of 1999, and has been going
strong ever since. For a man not interested in titles, he has seen his fair
share of glory with huge wins over people such as Zombie.
Titles
Held: One time World Heavyweight Championship, One time 1/2 World Tag
Team Champion
Greatest
Moment: When Mad Cap first
came into the IWA, he had one goal in mind, and that was the Hardcore
Championship. He finally got his chance when fellow Hall of Famer vacated the
title, and Enemy Within stole it and declared himself champion. Mad Cap went
straight after him. They had one of the greatest hardcore matches of all time
at the first Panic Attack. They literally went all over the arena in a Last Man
Standing Match. The match ended when Mad Cap delivered a devestating Mad Hatter
off the top of a news truck to the pavement in the parking lot, to knock Enemy
Within totally out and become the new Hardcore Champion.
Titles Held:
One time World Heavyweight
Championship, One time World Hardcore Champion, One time Brawl for It All
Competition Winner
Greatest
Moment: Magnum did not come
into the IWA as a rookie, but the past means little in the IWA, and Magnum
proved it, because he didn't come in a star, but he sure is one now. He faced
one of the best United States Champion of all time, Fenris, in a grueling US
Title match on Wednesday WAR. These two literally put each other through hell.
Fenris, a member of the most hated stable of all time, The Apocalypse, held the
US Title for a long time, when Magnum was able to capture it from him, to
become the two time US Champion.
Titles
Held: Two time United States
Heavyweight Champion, Two time one half of the World Tag Team Champions, One
time Intercontinental Champion
Greatest
Moment: His greatest moment
came at one of the biggest ppv's ever in IWA history at Armageddon, as he
competed in a four way match for the World Television Championship against the
likes of Fenris, Chris Cannon, and Texan Terror. In what would be a brutal match,
Animal's greatest moment didn't happen until after the match was over and after
he was crowned the new World Television Champion. After the match, he learned
that his manager, "Master" Dean Fiscal had killed his only love.
Animal took Dean Fiscal and beat him to an inch of his life, finally breaking
free of the chains of slavery, and becoming his own man.
Titles
Held: Two time World Hardcore
Champion, One time World Television Champion
Greatest
Moment: Nuriko’s greatest
moment had to be at the first ever Desperation pay per view. This was when
Insurrection was reigning supreme over the IWA, and the President was laying in
the hospital, while Jonathon Summers III ruled like a tyrant, even going so far
as to bring back the former Mr. Nobody, Daniel James. With the #1 Contender for
the World Title being injured, Summers set-up a two night tournament to see who
would face Nuriko in the Main Event of Desperation. Nuriko shocked the world
when she won the tournament and went on to face Mad Cap. Wrestling someone who
was literally twice her size, medically proven to be totally insane, and
someone with no conscience whatsoever was the easy part, but she would have to
overcome special guest referee David Skinner, who was an employee of Summers.
The match turned from what some were saying would be the first outright
slaughter at a pay per view to one of the true highlights of the night, as
Nuriko took it to Mad Cap time and time again. At one point she even had Mad
Cap pinned, but Skinner refused to count. Even though she lost the match, she
proved to everyone that looks can often be deceiving.
Titles
Held: One time Woman’s World Champion, Two time United States
Heavyweight Champion
