The Permanant Marker and how I got it out.

Everyday usually starts out the same, with Heather jumping out of her crib and beating on the door yelling "mommy, I awake". That is my cue to let her out of her room so the adventure can begin once again. This particular day, I heard her awake but she was very quiet (always have to worry about the quiet). After I finished folding a load of clothes, I went to let Heather out of her room (I say let out as we have put a plastic "rolly polly" devise on her door knob to prohibit her from escaping at her leisure). I looked down and there she is with her finger drawing all over the wall and carpet. Her finger is producing navy blue marker. I thought what in the world, at least I will never have to buy pens for her again because her body produces ink. But of course it is never how it seems. Somehow (probably via big sister Cassie), Heather had a permanent marker in her room. Heather supposedly sat in her crib and just prodded her finger into the marker over and over again until it was well coated with ink. Then she made a picture of swirls on the carpet that covered an area of about 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet. Didn't want to miss the wall either. Fortunately, with the aid of 409 carpet cleaner I was amazed that it cleaned up. Never Never underestimate the power of a two year old. I always feel like I am chasing my tail with 3 girls born within 22 months of each other. 1998 promises to be an exciting year with Cassie just turning 4 and Heather and Hannah just turning 2 .
