This story of the fantastic journey of three friends and the companions they meet along the way is written by the Newberry Medal winning author, Lloyd Alexander. Lucian is a young boy running from death, Joy-in-the-Dance from something she won't say, and Fronto is on a quest to get help for the terrible wrong he's committed.
