This is the fictional story of a small group of archaeologists who are uncovering a Mayan Ruin, only to discover what lies beneath. They find a subterranean temple, rare but not unheard of. Then they discover a room made of silver and gold, with a dagger that is made of a before unknown metal at the other end. All of it is remarkable, unheard of, imaginative on the part of Rollins. His second book is suspenseful and shows amazing creativity. As the archaeologists fight their way out of the horrible trap they've been lead into, they discover the secret of el Sangro del Diablo, the blood of the devil, the same remarkable substence that the dagger is made of. All told, it is exciting and enlightening.
"But is it the coin of God?... Or the blood of the Devil?" |
