Made into a hit blockbuster in
1993, Jurassic Park is the story of a island theme park where
dinosaurs live as they once did. Well, almost like they once did, because
they are genetically controlled by the men who created them. It is the
story of the weekend that two palentologists, Alan Grant and Ellie Settler
are invited to see the park, for their professional opinions. They, along
with a lawyer, Ian Malcolm a mathematician, and John Hammond's (the
creator) two grandchildren begin their trip with the tour that the future
visitors will take. Unfortunately, a tropical storm aided by a turncoat
computer jockey turns the park into chaos. Without power, the dinosaurs
are loose on the islands, with the guests in the middle of it. They will
learn, as Ian Malcolm knew from the beginning, that the island "is an
accident waiting to happen." This novel keeps you on the edge
of your seat, even if you've seen the movie, and is for those who have no
read any science fiction novels before. |
