Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson is a swashbuckling adventure on the high seas. (Swashbuckling, for those of you who don't know, means violent but in the case of this novel, it isn't very violent at all) It is the story of the young David Balfour who sets out to make his way in the world and ends up being kidnapped by pirates paid by his evil uncle. The story of his travels to get back to his uncle's home and his fortune is enchanting and unforgettable. A story that even younger children would love, in smaller doses of course, but one for people from 1 to 100. Beautifully written, it is a classic that it timeless.
