Indigo
Away to
the north, 200 miles from where I stay…
As one
enters the ribbon of steel and concrete
Make…
Cars, cars,
more cars than one can count…
Up ahead,
the capital, with its dome of gold…
That is
where I was headed one day…
Tall buildings
rise nearly to the sky…
Birds hardly
fly that high…
Back away,
30 miles or so…
Lives a
Lady named "INDIGO"…
A far distance
she has traveled…
Her story,
untold, still unraveled…
Came from
Oregon, near the famous Trail…
Born and
raised a country girl…
Entered
a new unknown world…
Now she
lives in a high rise apartment…
Works in
a large conglomerate bank…
Chose a
life in a different setting…
Ran away
from a troubled life…
Came here
not long ago…
The lady
I am looking for…
Called
"INDIGO"…
