When you look at me…
     What do you see?
          Do you see the true me?
Do you see the sorrow buried in my face?
     Has it etched into my skin?
          Do you see the true me?

Do you see the anger in my face?
      Is the skin drawn tight?
           Do you see the true me?

Do you see the remorse in my face?
      Has my eyes lost their gleam?
           Tell me what do you see?
                Is this the true me?

When you look at me
      What do you see?
             Look farther still…
                  What do you see?
                       Do you truly see me?

When you look at me
      What do you see?
             Am I the true love you see?
                   Do you see the true me?

When you look at me
     What do you see?
          Am I what you desire?
              Do you see the true me?

When you look at me
    Inside my heart
       This is what I hope you see
          Love, compassion, happiness, need, desire.
              Truth and more
This is what I hope you find
    If you look deep, very deep
       I hope you  will find my love for you
           It is all in there
              I feel it
                 You can too
Then you can call me your true Love
