Other Destinations
Marmalade Boy is a story about love, insecurity, and finding happiness. It centers around the queen of insecurity, Koishikawa Miki. She is constantly trying to decide who she loves, beat off other guys with a stick, defeat various rivals when she *does* decide to love a guy, and then be ready to do it all over again. ^^; Her main boyfriend is, of course, Matsuura Yuu. Yuu is the king of sounding like he doesn't give a hoot and a holler about anybody or anything, except Miki. The two of them take forever to get together, and then break up about once every 15-20 episodes (or Miki needs reaffirmation of their relationship. one of the two). Don't get me wrong, I love the show but sometimes the main characters get incredibly annoying after a while and you just don't care anymore. Miki's best friend Meiko's relationship gets boring after a while so I began to root for Arimi and Ginta (who happen to be two of my favorite characters! ^_^) to show up more. Anyways, MB is wonderful and I reccommend it to anyone that wants a great love story with typical shojo elements. ^_^
