DUMB THINGS PEOPLE SAY ABOUT BLACK SABBATH!

"Uh, yeah, like, this lineup was the best one and like, they should bring back Eric Singer from Kiss to play drums.."

As an act of self-torture, I subscribe to the Black Sabbath mailing list. When I did at first, I thought it would be cool and we could all rip on Dio and all the other singers all day long. Much to my surprise, the majority of these folks are dipshits. They all think Ozzy is the worst singer ever and all the albums made with just Tony Iommi are the bees knees. Funny though, I'm sure they will be at the reunion concert. Anyway, here are some samples showing how subhuman many of their fans on the mailing list are.

The first one is in response to something I put on the page about how there are kooks out there who like the worst singer a band has ever had. Like Gary Cherone fans, Hagar fans, Dio Fans, etc etc. Here's a great on that confirms my fears.

There are. Van Halen 3 is my all time fav Van Halen album, and I've been listening since Fair Warning.

Pretty ill. What a great fan. Eddie thanks you.

Amen! I'd give my left n...er, arm :), to hear him sing the song Black
Sabbath. I saw Bruce, Adrian and their band play last year, standing about
20 feet away, and let me tell ya: He has more stage presence than all of
Sabbath's singers put together! The assholes who showed up at Martin-era
shows just to be...well, assholes...wouldn't last a minute with Bruce at
the mike. If all else failed, he'd probably pull a Dee Snyder and
challenge them all to fight!

Now I wonder if Number of the Beast would make it into the encore... :)

Subject: Sabbath after Ozzy...

In #785 Leif Johnson wrote "In closing i just want to say that as far as
i'm concerned after ozzy left there is no Sabbath.", I hate that idea that
so many seem to have so much! Sabbath without Ozzy is still Sabbath and the
Sabbath albums after Ozzy is still great albums, a whole lot better than
Ozzy's solo albums. I think the whole idea that Sabbath isn't Sabbath
without Ozzy is pathetic, why should a band change it's name because one
member quits, it's not like Ozzy, Bill and Geezer all quit at the same
time, then you would have a point. Heaven & Hell, Mob Rules, Born Again,
Dehumanizer and all the TM stuff are all great pieces of music and
defentily Sabbath!

Anyway, I'll add more moronic testimony later. I feel like a psycho doing this already.
