November 17 is an intense and powerful group hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Formed in the summer of 1993, the group's main focus was on creating their own style of music uncommon to the typical Arizona scene.
Best described as a relentless sensory assault, N17 have steadily progressed in the two years that they have been together, into a fine, tight group opening for national acts such as: Skrew, Monster Voodoo Machine, 16 Volt, ACUMEN, Phunk Junkeez, Cubinate, Marilyn Manson, Clutch, Fear Factory, Chris Connely and William Tucker, Low Pop Suicide, Wickerman, Red Square Black, Shootyz Groove, Stanford Prison Experiment, and Schleprock.
In the early part of 1994, N17 released their first EP, "A Different Kind of War." The title track "A Different Kind of War" has received extensive airplay on stations such as KEDJ (PHX), KZRX (PHX), and KUNM (ALB., N.M.); as well as a slot on the 1994 Foundations Forum unsigned band tape.
The most recent release from N17 is a fresh aggressive debut called "Trust No One." Recorded at Village Studios in Tornillo, Texas, "Trust No One" is an angst ridden ride through all the pitfalls and betrayals of life, coupled with an angry digital attack, and an 'in your face' wall of sound that is very intimidating.
At the helm, producer Neil Kernon (Queensryche, Peter Gabriel, Flotsam and Jetsam) has shown his versatility in the production field by creating a heavy, electronic, industrial sound that is undeniably compelling.
Tracks "Kontrol" and "Virus" are soon to be worked within the underground club circuits and alternative radio, yet tracks like "Version 1.2" and "Religion" are already hard radio favorites.
The songs on "Trust No One" speak for themselves as they are a true representation of the high powered live presence of N17 that has finally carried over to a recording.
