Her previous whereabouts are still largely unknown, but Grizabella now resides happily within the Heavyside Layer. The poor ragged Jellicle had abandoned the tribe long ago, and was shunned by the other cats upon her return. While the kittens remained curious, the older Jellicles feared that her immoral virtues would rub off on the innocent. The younger cats dispised the stories of how she had messed around with the males of the tribe before she left. Only Deuteronomy truly understood her and what she had gone through in the outside world. After hearing the full story (or song) of her pain and suffering, did the Jellicles sympathize as well and allowed her to rejoin their tribe.
