The Parable
of the
Unrepentant RamRod

Once there was a RamRod who came by his name quite easily because, from an early age, he was able to determine the political climate around him by just a whiff of the wind around the fold and was always able to rise to the occasion much quicker than the other aspiring ramrods. He knew exactly what to say and exactly when to say it. Because of his exceptional promotional talents he quickly won the favor of the lead/upper shepherd and soon became the lead RamRod.

He became so well known for his ramrod capabilities that the RamRod Golden Fleece Award was instituted in behalf of him and his techniques.

All the aspiring ramrods who came to Hireling University because their loving parents wanted to insure they remain securely in the fold, found their role model in the Grand Master RamRod. They tried to emulate him in every way. It didn’t matter that he hid his ruthlessness, his superiority, and self-aggrandizing political climbing behind a thick shield of self righteousness. They were young and naive and were not able to perceive his true nature.

But there was One Who had no trouble perceiving his true nature. It was very displeasing to the Good Shepherd that the Grand Master RamRod was setting this type of example for the younger rams. It was very displeasing that the GM RamRod was so consumed with his own self-importance and was so lifted up in pride and vanity.

Over the years, The Good Shepherd tried to reach GM RamRod to correct him of the error of his ways, but he was oblivious to any fault of his own that he always thought the Good Shepherd was referring to someone else.

When the conditions of the fold became so foul from the politicks of the GM RamRod and all the other ramrods who had followed in his footsteps, the Shepherd decided to dismantle the fold and try again to reach the impenetrable armor of the GM RamRod’s self- righteous shell.

Much to the Good Shepherd’s regret, the fold’s fall didn’t phase GM RamRod. He merely picked himself up, dusted himself off, put on his holster that held all of his RamRod Razors and began shearing again in a new fold

The Good Shepherd is saddened by this and intends to follow through at a later date in one last attempt to bring this GM RamRod to repentance.

Unfortunately, the time will be a very difficult time and GM Ram Rod will have to experience tremendous pain and suffering. But the Good Shepherd has tried everything He knows and nothing has worked. Only this is left.

We should all pray for GM RamRod - that he will come to see the error of his ways and repent before he has to experience the terrible things that will ultimately come upon him because of his hardened heart. We must also examine ourselves and see what foul thing may lie in our own lives and repent so that we don’t have to experience the same terrible trial.

When GM RamRod hastily fled the faltering fold, he left the following catalog behind.

It is imperative that you read this catalog carefully and if you ever suspect the Sheep Shearing Specialty Shop to be operating undercover in your area, please notify the Sheep Shearing Rescue & Support Association (SSR&SA) and report their location immediately so that they will be closed down.

In the meantime, if you see any one approaching you with any instrument that resembles these in this catalog, run for your life.

Special classes will begin on Monday to teach all ewe wool wearers how to shear yourselves. Actually when you get the hang of it, you will find it an enjoyable experience. You will find that it is very rewarding to shear ewer selves and send your wool in to the true shepherds who are fulfilling the Good Shepherd’s command “Feed my Sheep.” Do not, I repeat, DO NOT under any circumstances send any of your wool to some one who is not teaching the unadulterated truth of the Good Shepherd. It is your responsibility to determine who these true shepherds are by comparing what they say and do with the Word of the Good Shepherd found in that sheep manual entitled “The Bible.”

Happy shearing and may ewe be well-fed by the Good Shepherd Himself and those true under shepherds who follow the Good Shepherd every where He goes!
