CLOTHES
this is just my little bit on punkwear.
i like to make my own damn clothes and take a lot of pride and effort in my work,my hip pack for instance has been an ongoing effort made from scraps it is now the toughest most useful addition when you're wearing pants too loose and your change falls out,or pants to tight and you always smash your keys into your hip, my pack takes care of all, straps onto an avg size belt. and my rubber band belt, made of industrial belts i had sewn on latches and hooks to it so i could attach my leatherman tool to it,with out worrying if it would fall off. a note on found objects like the machine belts, its way cooler to find your clothes than to buy them. keep an open mind,i found carpenters knee pads and made a killer cod piece out of one, treasure is everywhere! my clothes making kit contains the following, blade out of safety razor, tons of needles, moderate size.wazed floss dif brands of floss vary in waxiness just experiment,or go to a tack shop and get black sinew, very cool shit! lighter to melt floss, metal back of pin to use as thimble, and leatherman ,leatherman stolen from stupid art student! fake fucking artists suck!
eh and go at it,i keep a bag of scrap, leather, denim, tanned goats bladder, beeswax and graphite to coat the thread or floss of it starts getting to be a pain.
another project if you're anythnig like me you carry a foot long knife, well as you know then its very illegal! and need a way to conceal it but where???? well make yourself a damn chest harness,i did! take some pliable leather for a strap to go over the shoulder, around your back and under your opposing arm pit. now your knif may or may not have a sheath,if so attach it to the harness, add buckles or clips across the chest for quick removal incase you need to rid yourself of the knife, one last important thing, you need to atach the bottom of the sheath to your belt preferably that machine belt you stole from the wearhouse before you burned it down. alright connect a keyring to the bottom of your sheath and make a clip on your belt loop or belt to hold the sheath down. otherwise when you draw your knife, the sheath may want to come with knife, but now it will be held down for a quick draw,so you can hold off hords of poser skinheads! never hesitate to kill a skinhead!!!!!!
as far as patchwork goes,i compare this to a hells angels leather jacket, you never see those guys with patches half hanging off because they safety pinned their back patch on or their "kill or be killed" patch. no they take a great pride in presenting themselves as true to what they are! and i think its important to maintain appearances,do it right dude! learning to sew is an invaluable resource because you can keep a pair of pants for over a yr ,and once they start to go a little time and patience will keep your favorite pair of jeans areound for a life time, besides its punk rock not to buy new clothes,so take care of you damn clothes and dont purposely dirty them n shit, thats for posers! and if you think im vein for writing this shit ,fuck you,i am vein!!!!!
maybe its just being anal, but when i sew i do it damn well! i think looking cool is nice but the functionality is even cooler,i mean thats wht a patch is for right, functionality,it just might happen to have some logo on it?
