A TINY CANDLE
A tiny candle glows within
a corner of my heart;
and from its warm and rosy flame,
new hopes, new dreams will start.
A tiny candle throws a beam
upon old memories;
and for a while they gleam and glow
like haunting melodies.
A tiny candle proudly sheds
a tiny ray of light,
enough to guide a traveler home
some dark and stormy night.

This poem was sent to me by a dear friend...who has like me...suffered loss. It amazes me that I have met so many friends here on the internet and in "real" life who seem to "know" my heart..:-) This is a beautiful little poem...and I feel like I could have written it myself...To me ...it speaks of love...it speaks of hope...and I do have hope...there is a "candle" in my heart...that still dreams of new love...new beginnings...may that be so for all of you too..:-)
