NO ORDINARY FRIEND
I once had a friend
Who always knew
Which sail to fly
And which tack to take.
And then one day
He got caught
In a storm.
A storm like no other.
A storm that you and I
Know not of.
And he tried every sail
And he tried every tack.
But still the storm controlled.
For this was no ordinary storm.
It was a storm,
That only God understands.
And while my friend
Did not weather the storm,
Only God knows how close,
His storm came to losing.
For while this was no ordinary storm,
This was no ordinary friend.
