(Nov. 30, 1999)ROOM 13 is tentatively booked to perform on Dec. 18, 1999 at Club 513 in Atlanta. More information will be available once everything is confirmed with the parties involved in booking. Also..remember the Jan. 10, 2000 show with Straight Faced!
(Nov. 22, 1999)Room 13 has completed their debut "warm up" performance to rave reviews on Nov. 19, 1999. Although most of the band said they thought the show was "sloppy" and "sounded like shit," the fans had a different view. One fan called Room 13 the "best band I've ever seen." With such acclaim the boys have been quick to book more shows. The next confirmed show will be with Epitaph recording artists Straight Faced on Jan. 10, 2000 at the 513 Club. But expect another few shows before that date. Check back for more details!
ROOM 13 is planning to go into a studio sometime in January to work on their debut cd. While it is unclear at this point who will release it, the band is determined to move forward.
"We'll do it our damn selves if we have to," said Otter.
Future press releases will be issued regarding the bands recording status.
Otter was reportedly furious with the Atlanta Police Dept. when they gave him a ticket for "obstruction of a fire hydrant" during the night of Room 13's debut at the 513 Club. "We all know there are bigger problems on Edgewood Avenue," Otter said over a cold beer. "This whole thing makes me sick."
Anthony was also pulled over by law enforcement that night and detained on the interstate for a brief period before he was let go...no charges.
"They're out to get us," Anthony said.
