NEWS AND PRESS RELEASES

  • (Feb. 9, 2000) A company as been picked and cd duplication and production will begin next week. CD's will be available from area record stores, by mail, or by handing us lots of money. We're happy this cd will finally be available to the public and we look forward to playing it all live again soon!

  • (Feb. 8, 2000) Ok, the world didn't end and the news here has grown old. Here's what's happening with the cd. Ok, we have this great cd recorded and we want to release it. The problem is that we all have jobs and work about 98 percent of our life while pursuing the band thing on any free time. Seeing that we've always released shitty tapes out of our basement we decided we definately want a good looking product for you to spend your hard earned money on. Therefore, since we've never released a cd we are learning as we go. Be patient. I know we've received some inquiries as to where to buy the cd. It's not out yet..so unless you know one of us you don't have one. Next week we will be contacting a company to duplicate our cds and we will decide on artwork. An announcement will be made on here in the near future. Shows are off as we write and get this cd off our backs. So after all that rambling, we ask you be patient and that you will be well rewarded. Cheers... Otter

  • (Dec. 31, 1999)As we bring in the new century we look forward to releasing our cd as soon as possible. Shows may be limited these next few months as we pool our funds and get the cd artwork and duplications done. NO immediate timetable as to when all this could be finished by. A quick thanks to those who gave us compliments after our last show at the 513 Club...we appreciate it even if we don't acknowledge it publicly. This next year we will be getting our butts in gear and lining up our tour going along with our cd release. A link has been created on this site to three of the 8 sound clips that will be on the forthcoming cd. ENJOY! Check back here for periodic updates on what our lazy asses are doing. Cheers..

  • (Dec. 23, 1999)SOUND CLIPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON THE NET! Three songs by Room 13 are now in MP3 format at www.ubl.com. Just go to that site...do a search for Room 13 and then click on "downloads" and pick a track. Definately the hardest shit coming out of Atlanta right now. Look for the cd soon. Cheers.

  • (Dec. 22, 1999)THE ROOM 13 CD HAS BEEN RECORDED! For two days we recorded an 8 song cd that turned out simply amazing! It is the heaviest and fastest music ever recorded by an Atlanta band. Production and widespread release is not far off. For the meantime look for some samples on this website soon! ALSO...we will be playing Mon. Dec. 27, 1999 Club 513 in Atlanta! Come on out and have your eardrums blown out. Bring groupies.

  • (Dec. 11, 1999)The Jan 10 show with Straight Faced has been cancelled. The band yet again decided not to play in Atlanta after booking a show here. Room 13 will still be performing on Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999 at Club 513 in Atlanta. The band has also been rehearsing and perfecting the songs that will be recorded during a two day studio session later this month. Look here at a later date for info about purchasing the cd when production is complete.
  • (Dec. 6, 1999)Studio time has been confirmed and booked. Room 13 will spend two days recording on Dec. 21 and 22 at a state-of-the-art studio south of Atlanta. The plan is to record 6-8 songs for the cd release and distribution of the "room 13 demo sessions." On Tuesday Dec. 7 promotional shots of the band are planned with the possible assistance of a photojournalist from Agnes Scott College. Lots going on at the Room 13 camp...stay tuned as the band prepares to annihilate the Atlanta music scene.
  • (Nov. 30, 1999)ROOM 13 is tentatively booked to perform on Dec. 18, 1999 at Club 513 in Atlanta. More information will be available once everything is confirmed with the parties involved in booking. Also..remember the Jan. 10, 2000 show with Straight Faced!
  • (Nov. 22, 1999)Room 13 has completed their debut "warm up" performance to rave reviews on Nov. 19, 1999. Although most of the band said they thought the show was "sloppy" and "sounded like shit," the fans had a different view. One fan called Room 13 the "best band I've ever seen." With such acclaim the boys have been quick to book more shows.

The next confirmed show will be with Epitaph recording artists Straight Faced on Jan. 10, 2000 at the 513 Club. But expect another few shows before that date. Check back for more details!

  • ROOM 13 is planning to go into a studio sometime in January to work on their debut cd. While it is unclear at this point who will release it, the band is determined to move forward.

"We'll do it our damn selves if we have to," said Otter.

Future press releases will be issued regarding the bands recording status.

  • Otter was reportedly furious with the Atlanta Police Dept. when they gave him a ticket for "obstruction of a fire hydrant" during the night of Room 13's debut at the 513 Club.

"We all know there are bigger problems on Edgewood Avenue," Otter said over a cold beer. "This whole thing makes me sick." Anthony was also pulled over by law enforcement that night and detained on the interstate for a brief period before he was let go...no charges. "They're out to get us," Anthony said.

    GET OUT!
