While not completely giving up on the Disco/Dance beat that help put Cheryl on the map with 'Got To Be Real' and 'Star Love', Cheryl decided to put some funk to her beats on this album by adding Raydio's Ray Parker, jr. and his guitar strings to the arrangements. And it worked. The first track 'Shake It Up Tonight' gave Cheryl her 2nd biggest hit to date and a dance floor favorite. You could hear Ray jamming on his guitar during the songs interlude. It charted #5 Dance, #5 R&B and #70 Pop, but I always wonder how much better it would have charted had Disco still been ruling the music world. Other jems include the title track, 'I'm On Fire', 'With Love On Our Side' and 'If You'll Be True To Me'. 4 ****
