I love this album. I listen to it when im in a relaxing mood. Phyllis's voice is just so soothing to me. I especially enjoy the music when I am in the tub.

This is my favorite album cover of Phyllis. She looks vulnerable and sexy and a little sense of happiness. I got to meet her while this album was being promoted, and it has been the highlight of my life ever since. She was so down to earth and sincere. I will never forget her as I am sure no one else who appreciated her will either.

This CD is phenomenal! I absolutely love her voice and her whole persona. I recently saw a segment of her on the Arsenio Hall Show in '92. She had a great sense of humor. She is truly missed. I'm in the process of getting all of her songs. I'm almost there.

All I got to say about this album is "First Time Together". Listen to it over and over and over. I can just imagine Phyllis looking outside her window waiting for her man to walk down the street. While COOKIN his favorite dinner. Go head girl...

I've been a fan/friend of Phyllis since my senior year of college. And here it is 23 years later and this recording is just as fresh as the day I first played it. Phyllis was a deeply emotional woman, somewhat introspective but above all, terribly terribly afraid to be alone or not having someone to love. All that she was on the outside was even more so on the inside for therein lies her most appealing feature....the spirit of a dove, wit of a comic, and the nature of an angel. If only she hadn't taken her life, she would've been with God's angels when He called. Holla ya'll! More later.

I got my first "adult" job in NYC in 1986 and someone in our office got tickets to a talk show, I cannot even remember which one but I think it may have been Arsenio Hall.. I am not sure. Anyway, Phyllis Hyman was on performing the title track "Living All Alone" and I was floored. I had never heard her before and I was amazed. I will never, ever forget that performance. I went out the next morning and bought her album... I have listened to it so many thousands of times that I know every note, every word...everything. She was just the most incredibly soulful and spiritual talent; I was and am still so saddened by her death. For me, she lives on each and every time I hear her. I just love her. I never post comments like this on the internet, but when it comes to Phyllis I just cannot keep my mouth shut.
