This photo album features our collection of exclusive CD remasters, which aren't sold in stores. Like many music lovers, we grew tired of the endless stream of 'Greatest Hits' CDs that are released by the record companies, instead of releasing classic albums or comprehensive collections to the fans. Unlike music lovers in Europe & Asia, American fans aren't given the best CDs to invest in, and we're forced to spend large sums of money for the superior import CDs.
Music fans are urged to create their own CDs instead of waiting for the record companies to release your favorite music, and that's what we enjoy doing here at Soul Legends. Music lovers, feel free to post comments for any of the CDs here....your feedback is welcome!!
Patrice Rushen - 'Shout It Out' (1977)
'Shout It Out' was Patrice Rushen's 3rd and final album for the old Prestige / Fantasy label in 1977 before she sined with Elektra in 1978. While her 'Prelusion' (1974) & 'Before The Dawn' (1975) albums were released on a special 2-on-1 disc, 'Shout It Out' was never officially released by Fantasy, and fans of Rushen's older fusion jazz are missing out. What a shame...it's a great 39 minute album from start to finish, and I just had to remaster it to CD. This album is important to see how Patrice devleoped as an artist, and you get to hear foundations for her future projects on 'Shout It Out'.
Patrice's vocals & funk stylings are being used on this CD more so than her 1st 2 albums.
