Bart Gets An F

Bart's teacher, Mrs. Krabappel, warns him that he is in danger of flunking history if he does not do better on his next test. Instead of studying, however, Bart plays video games and watches TV with Homer. Knowing he is going to fail the test, Bart pretends he is sick and is sent home. That night, he calls Milhouse to get the test answers. Without knowing it, Milhouse's answers are wrong, and when Bart takes the exam he gets an F.

Told he is going to be kept back a grade, Bart promises to do better if he is given one more chance. He makes a bargain with Martin: if he helps Martin transform into a regular kid, Martin will help him pass his test. Howver, Martin plays video games with his new friends instead of helping Bart study. The night before the big test, Bart asks God for one more day. The next morning, a freak blizzard closes all the schools. Heading out the door to play, Lisa reminds Bart that he made a deal with God, and he trudges upstairs to study.

Bart gets another F. In frustration, he blurts out to Mrs. Krabappel a history fact, proving that he really did study. Impressed, she gives him an extra point, changing his grade from an F to a D-minus. Homer proudly displays Bart's paper on the refrigerator door.
