Life On The Fast Lane

For her birthday, Homer presents Marge with a bowling ball with is his name engraved on it and drilled to fit his fingers. Feeling unloved and uncared for, Marge takes up bowling so that Homer cannot use her gift. At Barney's Bowl-O-Rama, Marge takes lessons from the local pro and womanizer, Jacques, who shows her the attention she never recieves from Homer. Marge bowls every night, leaving Homer alone with the kids, and begins to enjoy Jacques's company.

Homer suspects something is not right, but is unable to tell Marge how he feels. Jacques asks Marge to meet him at his apartment, and she accepts. Before walking out the door for work, Homer tries to tell Marge how much he appreciates and needs her, but cannot find the right words.

On her way to Jacques's apartment, Marge has second thoughts. She encounters a fork in the road. One path leads to Jacques, the other to the nuclear power plant where Homer works. Marge takes the path to the plant. An overjoyed Homer lifts his wife into his arms, and leaves to make love to Marge in his car.

• At the Springfield Mall, Homer parks his car in a spot that warns "Do Not Park Here" and "No Parking"
• The stores Homer passes in the mall include: International House Of Answering Machines, The Jerky Hut (conducting a "Sausage Sale!"), The Ear Piercery, Girdles 'N Such, Fancy Lingerie, and The Caramel Corn Warehouse.
• Sign at The Singing Sirloin restaurant: "Home of Ballads and Salads." The logo is a steak singing with a microphone like a young Frank Sinatra.
• During a moment when Marge and Jacques are outside, the moon behind them has three holes, like a bowling ball.
• The nuclear radiation gauge moves from "Okay" to "Danger" as Homer carries Marge out of the plant.
