SYNTHAAL'S POETRY

Ghost

Perched on my shoulder the ghost smiles to me
a wordless enquiry into the state of my being
somehow my quizzical stares are casually ignored
looking forever into my face and into my mind
yet I must eventually own up to my inner follies
lest that curious smile turn to sadness
I keep my answerless look ahead never turning
the ghost on my shoulder bides his time.

Pathways

thoughts of death are hauntingly familiar
to a mind of twisted pathways
each leading to the enevitable certainty
of the lights and tunnels
and stairways and exits
the mind rebels
the spirit embraces
the whitness slides to darkness
the likeness is free
to return to another horizon
of faces and places

Unwakening

i welcome the darkness
the pain
the fear
shall no longer be mine
i am scared no longer
i ease into unwakening
warmth
silence
i am afraid no more.
