Drinking and Driving by Misty Renee Porter

Close to the door he paused to stand
As he slipped his class ring off her hand.
All those who watched did not care to speak
As a single tear rolled down his cheek.

All through his mind memories ran;
Of the times they once had had.
He held the class ring and started to cry
He kissed her cheek and said his good-byes.

As the wind began to blow;
They lowered the casket down below.
This is what happens to many lives
When friends let friends drink and drive.
