Genesis 13:1 to 13:18

And Honored-Father went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, towards the south.
And Honored-Father was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
And he went on his journeys from the south as far as House-of-God; to the place where his tent had stood before, between House-of-God and The-Ruins;
to the place of the altar that he had made there in the beginning. And there Honored-Father called on Yahweh by name.
And Lot who also went with Honored-Father had flocks, and herds, and tents.
And the land could not support them, that they might live together, for their wealth was so great; and they could not live together.
And there was conflict between the herdsmen of Honored-Father's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle. And the Canaanite and the Perizzite were dwelling then in the land.
And Honored-Father said to Lot, "I ask you to let there be no struggle between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are family.
Is not the whole land open to you? Separate yourself, I ask you, from me: if to the left, then I will take the right; and if to the right, then I will take the left."
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of the Jordan that it was thoroughly watered, before Yahweh had destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah; it was like the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as one goes to Smallville.
And Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Jordan; and Lot went toward the east. And they separated the one from the other:
Abram pitched his tent in the land of Canaan; and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain, and pitched tents as far as Sodom.
And the people of Sodom were very wicked sinners before Yahweh.
And Yahweh said to Honored-Father, after Lot had separated himself from him, "Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward;
for all the land that you see I will give to you, and to your descendents for ever.
And I will make your descendents like the dust grains of the earth, so that if any one can number the dust grains of the earth, your descendents will be likewise numbered.
Arise, walk through the land according to the length of it and according to the breadth of it; for I will give it to you."
Then Honored-Father moved his tents, and came and camped by the terebinth groves of Mamre, which are in Hebron. And he built there an altar to Yahweh.
