1 And it came to pass when mankind began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them,
5 And Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart continually only evil .
2 that the sons of the Elohim saw the daughters of men that they were lovely, and took themselves wives of all that they chose.
3 And Yahweh said, "My spirit shall not shield man forever; for he indeed is flesh; but his time shall be a hundred and twenty years."
4 In those days were the giants on the earth, and also afterwards, when the sons of Elohim had come in to the daughters of men, and they had borne children to them; these were the heroes, who of old were men with names to be remembered.
6 And Yahweh regreted that he had made man on the earth, and had sorrow in his heart.
7 And Yahweh said, "I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the earth -- from man to cattle, to creeping things, and to fowl of the heavens; for I regret that I have made them."
8 But Rest found favour in the eyes of Yahweh.
9 This is the history of Rest. Rest was a just man, perfect in that age: Rest walked with Elohim.
10 And Rest begot three sons, Name, Warm, and Spacious the Titan.
11 And the earth was corrupt before Elohim, and the earth was full of lawlessness.
12 And Elohim looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth.
13 And Elohim said to Rest, "The end of all flesh is come before me, for the earth is full of lawlessness through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make yourself self a box of gopher wood: with cells you shall you make the box; and pitch it inside and outside with pitch.
15 And this is how you shall make it: let the length of the box be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A sky light you shall make in the box; and to within a cubit of the top you make it. And the door of the ark you shall set in its side: with a lower, second, and third story you shall make it.
17 For my part, I am about to bring a flood of waters on the earth, to destroy all flesh under the heavens in which is the breath of life: everything that is on the earth shall expire.
18 But with you I will establish my contract; and you shall go into the box, , and your sons, and your wife, and your sons' wives with you.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort you shall bring into the box, to keep them alive with you: they shall be male and female.
20 Of fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each shall go in with you to keep them alive.
21 And take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to you, that it may be for food for you and them."
22 And Rest did it; according to all that Elohim had commanded him, so did he.
Genesis 7:1 to 7:24
1 And Yahweh said to Rest, "Go into the box, you and all your house; for you have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of all clean beasts you shall take to you by sevens, a male and its female; but of the beasts that are not clean two, a male and its female.
3 Also of the fowl of the heavens by sevens, male and female; to keep seed alive on the face of all the earth.
4 For in yet seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living being which I have made I will destroy from the ground."
5 And Rest did according to all that Yahweh had commanded him.
6 And Rest was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was on the earth.
7 And Rest went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the box, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowl, and of everything that creeps on the ground,
9 there came two and two with Rest into the box, male and female, as Elohim had commanded Rest.
10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Rest's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the heavy rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 On the same day went Rest, and Name and Warm and Spacious, the sons of Rest , and Rest's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the box;
14 they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and all fowl after its kind -- every bird of every wing.
15 And they went with Rest , into the box, two and two of all flesh, in which was the breath of life.
16 And they that came, came male and female of all flesh, as Elohim had commanded him.
And Yahweh shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days on the earth.
And the waters increased, and bore up the box; and it was lifted up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth; and the box went on the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth; and all the high mountains that are under all the heavens were covered.
20 The waters rose another 15 cubits; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh that moved on the earth expired, fowl as well as cattle, and beasts, and all crawling things which crawl on the earth, and all mankind:
22 everything which had in its nostrils the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.
23 And every living being was destroyed that was on the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and fowl of the heavens; and they were destroyed from the earth. And Rest alone remained, and what was with him in the box.
24 And the waters prevailed on the earth a hundred and fifty days.
Genesis 8:1 to 8:22
1 And Elohim remembered Rest, and all the animals, and all the cattle that were with him in the box; and Elohim made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.
2 And the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were closed,
and the heavy rain from heaven was stopped.
3 And the waters retired from the earth, continually retiring;
and by the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters abated.
4 And the box rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters abated continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days that Rest opened the window of the box which he had made.
7 And he sent out the raven, which went forth going to and fro, until the waters were dried from the earth.
8 And he sent out the dove from him, to see if the waters had become low on the ground.
9 But the dove found no resting-place for the sole of her foot, and returned to him into the box; for the waters were on the whole earth; and he put forth his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the box.
10 And he waited yet other seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the box.
11 And the dove came to him at eventide; and behold, in her beak was an olive-leaf plucked off; and Rest knew that the waters had become low on the earth.
12 And he waited yet other seven days, and sent forth the dove; but she returned no more to him.
13 And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth.
And Rest removed the covering of the box, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dried.
14 And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
15 And Elohim spoke to Rest, saying,
16 Go out of the box, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you.
17 Bring forth with you every animal which is with you, of all flesh, fowl as well as cattle, and all the creeping things which creep on the earth, that they may swarm on the earth, and may be fruitful and multiply on the earth.
18 And Rest went out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him.
19 All the animals, all the creeping things, and all the fowl -- everything that moves on the earth, after their kinds, went out of the box.
20 And Rest built an altar to Yahweh; and took of every clean animal, and of all clean fowl, and offered up burnt-offerings on the altar.
21 And Yahweh smelled the sweet odour. And Yahweh said to himself, I will never again mistreat the ground on account of Humanity, for the thought of Man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again kill every living thing, as I have done.
22 For now on, all the days of the earth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease.
