Shire Tidbits

BACKGROUND

Though Rivermarch was formally recognized as a shire over ten years ago, 8 April 1989, its history goes back to three earlier groups. Two began as shires and evolved into households; the third became Rivermarch 25 July 1988. A time of loss, during 1999 and 2000, led to the shire's return to incipient status. Shire status was restored on 5 August 2002.
