'Xena: Warrior Princess' has struck a resounding chord in people. So much so that there are hundreds of websites dedicated to the show, the cast, and the characters. There's a similar number of posted fan fiction writings: ranging from poems to stories to novels to series to screenplays.
Outside the internet, there's been an animated movie, at least four novels, a number of comic books, and a four-issue magazine dedicated to the series. Who knows what the future will bring?
Xena is a former warlord trying to do good. Gabrielle is a bard learning about life. They complement each other, help each other, and put up with each other.
There's an ongoing debate concerning whether they're friends, lovers, soulmates, or a combination thereof. My belief leans towards soulmates and lovers without the sexual aspect--a'romantic friendship' as it were.
